O téhle staré hrobce se píše v legendách. Pokud za sebou zavřete rezavé dveře a necháte působit tísnivě hnilobnou atmosféru a nebudou vám vadit těla v různém stádiu rozkladu, potom můžete vstoupit na druhou stranu. Do světa dlouhých stínů,. nekonečných močálů. Tam, někde za řekou smrti, je pradávné pohřebiště. A na něm nahrávali nové album katalánští maniaci BOCC.

Pokud se podíváte do historie této smečky, tak zjistíte, že kapela byla založena v roce 2019 a jejich diskografie je plná různých demonahrávek, singlů, EP, kompilací, ale letos pánové přicházejí teprve se svým druhým dlouhohrajícím albem. Nutno rovnou dodat, že se jedná o mokvající, shnilou, temnou a chladnou záležitost, u které vstávají nemrtví z hrobů.

"Demolarium" je albem, na kterém se odkazuje na krvavé kořeny Katalánska. Na jeho historii, rozplétají se na něm různá temná témata. Výsledkem je nahrávka, která je velmi uvěřitelná, zahraná od srdce. Hoří zevnitř, i když na povrchu je mrazivá jako ruka mrtvoly. Za velmi povedený považuji zvuk celého alba. Je chladný, masivní, drásající. Zaujme i stylově vyvedený obal. Hlavní je, ostatně jako vždy, hudba samotná. A ta je podmanivě hnilobná, nasáklá zkaženou krví. Pokud máte rádi kombinaci doom metalu a kruté smrti, tak jak jej hrávali a hrají kapely typu WINTER, AUTOPSY, COFFINS, CIANIDE, GRIEF a další tmáři, potom vězte, že jste zde správně. Při každém poslechu si připadám jako starý hrobník, který se vydal uprostřed noci exhumovat další hrob prokletého. Jakoby byla do rakví otištěna historie celé země, její bolest, utrpení, křivdy, staré hříchy, které nebyly nikdy odčiněny. Líbí se mi, že pánové hrají opravdově, ryze, od srdce, že mě deska dokáže pokaždé pohltit, stát se mojí součástí. Bývám po společných seancích rozervaný zevnitř. Kývám se do rytmu, užívám si hnilobné melodie, ostré riffy, hrubý, surový vokál i údery bicích. Ztrácím se v krvavé mlze, přecházím na druhou stranu, procházím se staletými městy, navštěvuji chrámy plné bolesti i stará pohřebiště, na kterých naleznete odpovědi na mnohé otázky, které dosud zůstaly nezodpovězené. Navíc, a to vám klidně podepíšu vlastní krví, se novinka velmi dobře poslouchá. Líbí se mi i různé punkové a sludge prvky, které jsou ostrým kořením celé nahrávky. BOCC odvedli skvělou práci po všech stránkách. O téhle staré hrobce se píše v legendách. If you close the rusty door behind you, let the oppressive, putrid atmosphere take hold, and don’t mind the corpses in various stages of decomposition, then you may enter the other side. Into a world of long shadows and endless swamps. There, somewhere beyond the River of Death, lies an ancient burial ground. And it was there that the Catalan maniacs BOCC recorded their new album.

If you look into the history of this pack, you’ll find that the band was founded in 2019 and their discography is full of various demos, singles, EPs, and compilations, but this year the guys are finally releasing their second full-length album. It must be said right away that this is a oozing, rotten, dark, and cold affair that makes the undead rise from their graves.

“Demolarium” is an album that draws on Catalonia’s bloody roots. It explores its history, unraveling various dark themes along the way. The result is a recording that feels very authentic, played straight from the heart. It burns from within, even though on the surface it’s as cold as a corpse’s hand. I consider the sound of the entire album to be very well done. It’s cold, massive, and harrowing. The stylishly executed cover art is also striking. The main thing, as always, is the music itself. And it’s captivatingly putrid, soaked in corrupted blood. If you like the combination of doom metal and brutal death metal, as played by bands like WINTER, AUTOPSY, COFFINS, CIANIDE, GRIEF, and other dark forces, then know that you’ve come to the right place. Every time I listen to it, I feel like an old gravedigger who has set out in the middle of the night to exhume yet another grave of the damned. It’s as if the history of an entire country its pain, suffering, injustices, and old sins that were never atoned for were imprinted on the coffins. I love that these guys play with authenticity, purity, and from the heart that this album manages to engulf me every time, becoming a part of me. After listening to it, I’m often torn apart from the inside. I sway to the rhythm, savoring the decaying melodies, sharp riffs, rough, raw vocals, and the pounding of the drums. I lose myself in a blood-red fog, cross over to the other side, wander through centuries-old cities, visit temples filled with pain and ancient burial grounds where you’ll find answers to many questions that have remained unanswered until now. What’s more and I’ll gladly sign this with my own blood the new album is a real pleasure to listen to. I also like the various punk and sludge elements, which add a sharp edge to the entire recording. BOCC has done a great job in every respect. Legends speak of this ancient tomb.
