Nějak takhle jsem si vždycky představoval pravé peklo. Nejdříve mě navštěvoval v mých snech. Děsil mě ve spaní. Bál jsem se každého stínu, ale tušil jsem, že k tomu stejně jednou dojde. Říkali mu přízrak a přisuzovali mu spoustu nadpřirozených schopností. Jeho postava byla obestřena tajemstvím. Když jsem ho potkal poprvé, připomínal mi krvelačnou bestii. Omámil mě sladkými slovy a uvěznil zde, hluboko v podzemí. Hned vedle smradlavé stoky, ve které plují těla mých předchůdců. Slíbil mi, že mě roztrhá na kusy, stejně jako nová deska norských válečníků GOATKRAFT.

Už dlouhou dobu jsem neviděl žádné světlo, již dlouho poslouchám nové album "Prophet of Eternal Damnation". Cítím síru a užívám si absolutně nihilistický a blasfemiciký black death metal. Kapela mě ujistila v tom, že peklo doopravdy existuje. Je zřetelné a čitelné v každém tónu, v každé zkažené melodii. 

Krysy tančí do rytmu a čekají na zbytky mého těla. Už dávno jsem si zvykl na mučení, už dávno jsem si zvykl na totální tmu. Z riffů odkapává zkažená krev, vokál připomíná raněnou šelmu a bicí jsou zcela zničující. GOATKRAFT na to jdou postaru, nekompromisně, krutě a ošklivě. Pokud máte rádi kapely typu BLASPHEMY, BEHERIT, CONQUEROR, BLACK WITCHERY, ARCHGOAT, SARCÓFAGO, REVENGE, PROCLAMATION, myslím si, že se rádi zúčastníte i tohoto obřadu. Norové vám vyrvou vnitřnosti z těla. Jedná se přesně o ten druh hudby, která vás přiková na zeď a stáhne do hlubin. Při poslechu se kolem vás budou válet hromady z kostí a lebek. Postavy v kápích sestoupí do sklepa a navštíví temné katakomby. Konečně najdu cíl své cesty. Během rychlého a bolestivého procesu umírání budu samozřejmě poslouchat "Prophet of Eternal Damnation". Až budu v Hádově říši, ocením tuhle desku nejvíce. Má prašivý zvuk, stylový obal a také spoustu morbidních nápadů. Zpočátku byla sice naše setkání zahalena krvavou mlhou, ale ta se časem rozplynula a já si mohl vychutnat hořký koktejl umíchaný z těch nejjedovatějších ingrediencí. Norové hrají zle, zkušeně, maniakálně. Věřím jim. Je pro mě ctí, být znovu pohřben zaživa, zničen a znovu zrozen. Až zase potkám děsivý přízrak ze svých snů, pustím mu tohle nahrávku. Moc dobře vím, že mě potom odvede mezi démony. Tohle album se povedlo po všech stránkách, ale nejvíce oceňuji zlou, černou a krutou atmosféru. Takhle si představuji pravé peklo! Bestiální, zběsilý, temný black death metalový rituál s příměsí zkažené krve! Kult smrti!

That's kind of how I've always pictured hell. First he visited me in my dreams. He scared me in my sleep. I feared every shadow, but I knew it would happen one day. They called him a phantom and attributed many supernatural powers to him. His figure was shrouded in mystery. The first time I met him, he reminded me of a bloodthirsty beast. He drugged me with sweet words and trapped me here, deep underground. Next to the stinking sewer where the bodies of my ancestors float. He promised to tear me to pieces, just like the new record by Norwegian warriors GOATKRAFT.

I haven't seen any light for a long time, I've been listening to the new album "Prophet of Eternal Damnation". I smell the brimstone and enjoy the absolutely nihilistic and blasphemous black death metal. The band assured me that hell really exists. It's clear and legible in every note, in every wicked melody.


The rats are dancing to the rhythm, waiting for the remains of my body. I got used to torture a long time ago, I got used to total darkness a long time ago. The riffs drip with bad blood, the vocals resemble a wounded beast and the drums are utterly devastating. GOATKRAFT do it the old fashioned way, uncompromising, cruel and ugly. If you like bands like BLASPHEMY, BEHERIT, CONQUEROR, BLACK WITCHERY, ARCHGOAT, SARCÓFAGO, REVENGE, PROCLAMATION, I think you will be happy to attend this ceremony. The Norwegians will rip your guts out. This is exactly the kind of music that will nail you to the wall and drag you down into the depths. As you listen, piles of bones and skulls will roll around you. Hooded figures descend into the basement and visit the dark catacombs. Finally, I find my destination. During the quick and painful process of dying, I will, of course, listen to "Prophet of Eternal Damnation". When I'm in Hades, I'll appreciate this record the most. It's got a dusty sound, a stylish cover and a lot of morbid ideas. At first, our encounters were shrouded in a bloody fog, but it dissipated over time and I was able to enjoy a bitter cocktail mixed with the most poisonous ingredients. The Norwegians play badly, expertly, maniacally. I trust them. It's an honour to be buried alive again, destroyed and reborn. The next time I meet the terrifying phantom of my dreams, I'll play this record for him. I know very well that he will then take me to the demons. This album succeeds in all aspects, but I appreciate the evil, black and cruel atmosphere the most. This is what I imagine hell to be like! A bestial, furious, dark black death metal ritual with an admixture of corrupted blood! Death cult!

Vždy se velmi těším. Na další rakev, na další tělo. Pokaždé přemýšlím o životě, o smrti. V hlavě si vytvářím příběh o tom, čím zesnulý byl, jakou měl práci, v co věřil. Poslední dobou se ke mě ale dostávají pouze plesnivé, zpuchřelé mrtvoly. Mají vyděšené tváře a smrdí sírou. Občas slyším jejich nářek. Včera večer jsem se otočil, abych si pustil k exhumaci novou desku německých CARNAL TOMB a mrtvola mě napadla zezadu. Vytáhla mi mozek z hlavy a nakazila moje vnitřnosti snětí. Novinka je totiž plesnivou, morbidní výpovědí ze starých katakomb.

Téhle smečce se u nás na stránkách věnujeme dlouhodobě. Protože se jedná o hudbu, kterou chceme podporovat. Je stará jako death metal sám. Má v sobě opět velkou sílu a temnotu. Tohle se nedá naučit, to musíte mít v sobě. Musíte věřit v onen svět, musíte být prokletý, jako těla, které mi vozí poslední dobu na exhumaci. 


Nová nahrávka je velmi propracovaným dílem. Mám pocit, že rozplétám pavučiny na starých hrobech. Zazní odkazy na smečky jako GRAVE, ENTOMBED, DISMEMBER, PESTILENCE, REPUGNANT, ASPHYX, MASSACRE. Letos mi potom přijde, že se kapela posunula k větší melodičnosti. Skladby tím získaly na pestrosti a naléhavosti. Dobrý smrtící kov se liší od toho výborného tím, že se najednou ocitnu při poslechu hluboko pod zemí, pod starým prokletým kostelem. V kobkách, ve kterých můžete potkat přízraky. Němci hrají od srdce, uvěřitelně. Mají vynikající prašivý zvuk a spoustu morbidních nápadů. Viděli jste někdy rakev plnou špíny, hnisu a zpuchřelých kostí? Také na vás dýchla Smrt? Tak přesně takhle se cítím, když poslouchám "Embalmed In Decay". V kostech se mi usadil chlad. Krve by se ve mě nedořezal. Mrtvola na mém stole zpívá spolu s kapelou, podupává nohou do rytmu a usmívá se. Vrátila se k nám z onoho světa, přeplula zpět přes řeku Styx. Aby se pomstila za všechnu bolest, aby nám prokousla hrdlo. Pod kůži se mi zadírají jednotlivé melodie, krev mi tepe v žilách ve stejném tempu. Podá mi ruku a usměje se na mě. Oba moc dobře víme, že tohle album se opravdu velmi povedlo. A to nejen co se týká formálních věcí, jako je zvuk a obal. Je po okraj narvané temnou energií. Praskají u něj kosti. Vždy se velmi těším. Na další rakev, na další tělo. Pokaždé přemýšlím o životě, o smrti. Nemrtví se vrátili! Prašivá, morbidní death metalová mršina, morbidní a shnilý odkaz z prokletých hrobů!

I always look forward to it. Another coffin, another body. I always think about life, about death. I make up a story in my head about what the deceased was, what his job was, what he believed in. But lately, all I get are moldy, rotting corpses. They have scared faces and smell of sulfur. Sometimes I hear their cries. Last night I turned around to put on the new German CARNAL TOMB record for exhumation and a corpse attacked me from behind. It pulled my brains out of my head and infected my insides with anthrax. The new album is a moldy, morbid testimony from the old catacombs.

We've been covering this pack for a long time on this site. Because this is the music we want to support. It's as old as death metal itself. It has a great power and darkness to it again. You can't teach it, you have to have it in you. You have to believe in the other world, you have to be cursed, like the bodies they've been bringing to me for exhumation lately.


The new recording is a very sophisticated work. I feel like I'm untangling cobwebs on old graves. There are references to bands like GRAVE, ENTOMBED, DISMEMBER, PESTILENCE, REPUGNANT, ASPHYX, MASSACRE. This year I feel that the band has moved towards more melodicism. The songs have gained in variety and urgency. Good death metal differs from great metal in that I suddenly find myself listening deep underground, under an old cursed church. In dungeons where you can meet ghosts. The Germans play from the heart, believably. They have a great dusty sound and a lot of morbid ideas. Have you ever seen a coffin full of dirt, pus and rotten bones? Have you also breathed Death? That's exactly how I feel when I listen to "Embalmed In Decay". A coldness settled in my bones. He wouldn't finish the blood in me. The corpse on my table sings along with the band, stomping his foot to the beat and smiling. She's come back to us from the other world, swum back across the River Styx. To avenge all the pain, to bite our throats. The melodies are digging under my skin, my blood pumping in my veins at the same pace. She shakes my hand and smiles at me. We both know very well that this album was a great success. And not just in terms of formal things like sound and cover art. It's filled to the brim with dark energy. It's bone-cracking. I always look forward to it. The next coffin, the next body. Every time I think about life, about death. The undead have returned! A mangy, morbid death metal carcass, a morbid and rotten legacy from the cursed graves!

Dav bez emocí, který potřebuje víc násilí, víc krve, víc rozbitých hlav. Obličeje skloněné k obrazovkám, žijeme ve virtuálním světě. Realita bývá mnohem krutější a syrovější. Připomínáme zombie. Víc šokujících informací, víc dopaminu, víc umělé hmoty. Někdy mám pocit, že se celý svět zbláznil. Reklama na dokonalé štěstí, střih a válka. Nikdo už dávno neví, co je pravda a co lež a nikdo už neví, co je vlastně normální. Máš už jenom dvě možnosti. Buď si vystřelit mozek z hlavy a nebo poslouchat nahrávky, jako je ta od francouzských MORTUARY.

Je to opět jízda na splašeném koni. O začátku až do konce se jedná o poctivý death metalový nářez, který bude dělat dobře každému, který ještě žije v reálném světě. Bylo mi velkou ctí před lety vidět kapelu naživo v jednom malém klubu v našem městě a dodnes si pamatuji to obrovské množství energie, které k nám z pódia ztékalo. Novinka na mě působí hodně podobně. Je to masakr!


Francouzi se drží svého vzteklého smrtícího kovu, který je prokládán rychlým thrash metalem. Pokud jste fanoušci třeba takových MALEVOLENT CREATION, VADER, LOUDBLAST, MONSTROSITY, budete určitě nadšeni i z nové desky. Osobně to tak mám. Píšu o muzice už dlouhé roky a vždy jsem se snažil podporovat kapely, že kterých cítím, že myslí svojí hudbu vážně, že do ní dávají kus sebe samého, celé srdce. Letos na mě působí MORTUARY jako tsunami, jako mrazivý vichr, který vás přikove na zeď. Tohle je nahrubo nasekaná temná energie, smíchaná s tlakem. Poslouchám "Sublime the Decline" stále dokola a připadám si, že mě kapele roztrhá na kusy. Skladby jsou velmi propracované, dynamické, zvuk syrový a ostrý. Nenudím se ani chvilku, pořád se něco děje. Spousta zajímavých nápadů se mi doslova zadírá pod kůži. Představuji si, co by se asi stalo, kdyby někdo vypnul všechny sítě světa? Nastala by apokalypsa? Nebo bychom se vrátili do normálu? Netuším, co vím ale na sto procent je, že bych se zavřel do svého pokoje a dával si do hlavy tohle album pod tlakem. Dav bez emocí, který potřebuje víc násilí, víc krve, víc rozbitých hlav. An emotionless crowd that needs more violence, more blood, more broken heads. Faces bent to the screens, we live in a virtual world. Reality is much more cruel and raw. We resemble zombies. More shocking information, more dopamine, more plastic. Sometimes I feel like the whole world has gone mad. Advertisements for perfect happiness, editing and war. Nobody knows what's true and what's false anymore, and nobody knows what's actually normal anymore. You only have two choices. Either blow your brains out, or listen to records like the one from France's MORTUARY.

It's riding the high horse again. From start to finish it's an honest death metal blast that will do good to anyone still living in the real world. It was a great honor to see the band live in a small club in our town years ago, and I still remember the huge amount of energy that flowed from the stage towards us. The novelty has a very similar effect on me. It's a massacre!


The French stick to their angry death metal, which is interspersed with fast thrash metal. If you are a fan of such bands as MALEVOLENT CREATION, VADER, LOUDBLAST, MONSTROSITY, you will definitely be excited about the new album. Personally, I am. I've been writing about music for many years and I've always tried to support bands that I feel are serious about their music, that put a piece of themselves into it, their whole heart. This year, MORTUARY has acted on me like a tsunami, like a freezing wind that pins you to the wall. This is coarsely chopped dark energy mixed with pressure. I listen to "Sublime the Decline" over and over again and feel like the band is going to tear me apart. The songs are very polished, dynamic, the sound raw and edgy. I'm not bored for a moment, there's always something going on. A lot of interesting ideas are literally getting under my skin. I imagine what would happen if someone turned off all the networks in the world? Would there be an apocalypse? Or would we go back to normal? I have no idea what I know but one hundred percent is that I would lock myself in my room and put this album in my head under pressure. An emotionless crowd that needs more violence, more blood, more broken heads. Faces bent to the screens, we live in a virtual world. Reality is much more cruel and raw. We resemble zombies. More shocking information, more dopamine, more plastic. Sometimes I feel like the whole world has gone mad. But here, everything is in perfect order. Death thrash metal hammer blow to the face! This album will tear you apart!

Mám rád ty chvíle napětí, než otevřu další rakev. Jsem zvědavý, jaké ukrývá tajemství. Ve starých hrobech jsou pochováni prokletí kněží, vrazi i svatí. Dnes jsem byl opravdu překvapen. Náhrobek byl už hodně starý, plesnivý a pokrytý rostlinami. Začal jsem kopat a setmělo se. Mraky byly nízko a já u toho poslouchal novou desku polských doom death metalistů MARTYRDOOM. Odkryji několik vrstev a prohlédnu si mrtvolu. Je již ve značném stádiu rozkladu. Jako tohle album, jako hudba, kterou nám tihle maniaci přinášejí. 

Pokud máte tenhle starodávný styl rádi, budete určitě spokojeni. Pánové hrají uvěřitelně, opravdově a upřímně. Je pro mě velmi příjemné kopat další hroby, trávit dlouhé noci v márnicích a u toho poslouchat "As Torment Prevails". Tohle je hudba, která je ohlodaná na kost, na dřeň. Víka od rakví se chvějí strachem a já jsem opravdu spokojený. Smrt je velmi blízko. 

MARTYRDOOM jsou kapelou, jejichž tvorbu lze přirovnat k tomu, co nahrávají smečky jako ASPHYX, HAIL OF BULLETS, IMMOLATION, INCANTATION, OBITUARY, HOODED MENACE, DEMILICH, GRAVE, DISMA, DEAD CONGREGATION, TRIPTYKON. Jedná se o perfektně namíchaný koktejl, po jehož požití budete umírat v nekonečných křečích. Líbí se mi atmosféra celé nahrávky, obdivuji chladný a zničující zvuk. Píšu to často a zde to platí stonásobně, dobrý smrtící kov musí bolet, musí vám vypálit cejch do kůže, musí rozdrásat vaši tvář do krve. Poláci všechno tohle umí. Oceňuji i povedený obal, pod kterým je podepsán mistr Ryszard Wojtyński. "As Torment Prevails" je albem, které patří mezi staré náhrobky, na dávno opuštěná pohřebiště, do katakomb, kde se potkávají přízraky. Jednotlivé skladby mokvají, žhnou i chladí zároveň. Jsou napsány s jasným úmyslem - nechat vás shnít zaživa. Myslím si, že tahle exhumace se povedla na výbornou. Pokud se stejně jako já, rádi a často touláte podzemím a nasáváte s chutí hnilobný pach kobek, tak neváhejte ani chvilku. Přidávejte postupně hlasitost, kývejte se do rytmu, jako staří hrobníci. Polským tmářům se povedlo nahrát desku, která mi je velmi dobrým průvodcem v Hádově říši. Mám rád ty chvíle napětí, než otevřu další rakev. Jsem zvědavý, jaké ukrývá tajemství. Odkryji několik vrstev a prohlédnu si mrtvolu. Je již ve značném stádiu rozkladu. Jako tohle album, jako hudba, kterou nám tihle maniaci přinášejí. Starodávný doom death metalový rituál, u kterého se vám rozpadnou kosti v prach!

I like those moments of suspense before I open another coffin. I wonder what secrets it holds. Cursed priests, murderers and saints are buried in old graves. I was really surprised today. The tombstone was already very old, moldy and covered with plants. I started digging and it got dark. The clouds were low and I was listening to the new album by Polish doom death metallers MARTYRDOOM. I peel back a few layers and examine the corpse. It's already in a considerable state of decomposition. Like this album, like the music these maniacs bring us. 

If you like this ancient style, you'll be pleased. The gentlemen play believable, genuine and sincere. It is very pleasant for me to dig more graves, spend long nights in morgues and listen to "As Torment Prevails". This is music that is gnawed to the bone, to the marrow. The coffin lids are shaking with fear and I'm really happy. Death is very close. 

MARTYRDOOM are a band whose work can be compared to that of bands like ASPHYX, HAIL OF BULLETS, IMMOLATION, INCANTATION, OBITUARY, HOODED MENACE, DEMILICH, GRAVE, DISMA, DEAD CONGREGATION, TRIPTYKON. This is a perfectly mixed cocktail that will leave you dying in endless convulsions. I like the atmosphere of the whole record, I admire the cold and devastating sound. I write this often and it applies here a hundredfold, good death metal must hurt, it must burn a brand into your skin, it must rip your face to blood. The Poles can do all that. I also appreciate the hilarious cover, signed by the master Ryszard Wojtyński. "As Torment Prevails" is an album that belongs among old tombstones, in long-abandoned burial grounds, in catacombs where ghosts meet. The individual tracks wet, glow and chill at the same time. They are written with a clear intention - to let you rot alive. I think that this exhumation has succeeded perfectly. If, like me, you like to wander underground often, and suck in the rotten smell of dungeons with gusto, don't hesitate a moment. Turn up the volume gradually, sway to the rhythm, like the grave diggers of old. The Polish darkies have managed to record a record that is a very good guide for me in the realm of Hades. I like those moments of suspense before I open the next coffin. I wonder what secrets it holds. I peel back a few layers and examine the corpse. It's already in a considerable state of decomposition. Like this album, like the music these maniacs bring us. An ancient doom death metal ritual that will make your bones crumble into dust!

Když jsem vstoupil dovnitř, vše bylo od krve. Šmouhy po zdech, na podlaze, na všem. Prošli jsme celý dům a nenašli žádná těla. Sledovali jsme stopu a dostali se hluboko do lesa. Ve staré jeskyni jsme nalezli kosti, vyskládané do podivných obrazců. Ze všech koutů byl cítit pach smrti. Omráčeni hnusem a zlem jsme stáli a čekali, co se bude dít dál. Přemýšleli jsme o bestiích, o šílených vrazích, o démonech. Potom zazněl první riff. Prořízl vzduch jako ostrá čepel skalpelu.

ECOCIDE! Holandská death thrash metalová smečka, která vydává po deseti letech své druhé dlouhohrající album. Pokud máte rádi klasické, tradiční postupy, hororové příběhy a zápach rozkládajícího se masa, tak neváhejte ani chvilku. Tohle je poctivá jízda přímo do pekla. Oltář je připraven a nože nabroušeny. Stejně jako tahle deska. 


Máte rádi starou death metalovou školu? Líbí se vám kapely jako OBITUARY, MASSACRE, DEATH, ENTOMBED, GRAVE, UNLEASHED, BOLT THROWER, PESTILENCE? Uctíváte dodnes SLAYER? Potom vám mohu ECOCIDE jenom doporučit. Holandským maniakům se totiž povedlo do skladeb vložit velmi pochmurnou, chladnou i zničující atmosféru. Opravdu mám pocit, že se procházím v záhrobí a rozmlouvám s obětmi násilných činů. Kolem mě se procházejí oběšenci, utopení, mrtvoly bez tváře, zohavení. Pokud je nějaká hudba dobrá, probudí ve mě emoce, dokáže ve mě zapálit fantazii. "Metamorphosis" je přesně tím druhem hudby, která se kolem vás nejdřív plazí jako jedovatý had. Uhrane vás, abyste potom zemřeli v šílených křečích po požití prudkého jedu. ECOCIDE sice nevymýšlejí nic nového, ani převratného, ale novinka není jen obyčejným, dobře zahraným řemeslem. Songy v sobě mají něco navíc, jakousi patinu, hnilobu, temnotu, které mám u smrtícího kovu tolik rád. Znáte to, mám to asi jako každý fanoušek. Zavřu se do pokoje, sednu si k přehrávači a čekám, co se mnou nahrávka udělá. Některé kolem mě proplují a nezanechají ve mě vůbec nic a některé, jako je "Metamorphosis", se mi zadřou hluboko do mozku. Pro mě je vždy hodně důležité, jestli se chci k deskám vracet. Tohle album jsem si dával do hlavy pod tlakem hodně dlouhou dobu. Má v sobě velkou porci energie, tlaku, špíny a poctivého rouhání. Nezbývá mi tak nic jiného, než vám novinku doporučit. Old school death thrash metal, u kterého vykrvácíte! Mokvající kus shnilého masa!

When I walked in, there was blood all over the place. Smudges on the walls, on the floor, on everything. We went through the whole house and found no bodies. We followed the trail and got deep into the woods. In an old cave, we found bones arranged in strange patterns. There was the smell of death in every corner. Do you like old school death metal? Do you like bands like OBITUARY, MASSACRE, DEATH, ENTOMBED, GRAVE, UNLEASHED, BOLT THROWER, PESTILENCE? Do you still worship SLAYER? Then I can only recommend ECOCIDE to you. The Dutch maniacs managed to put a very gloomy, cold and devastating atmosphere into their songs. I really feel like I'm walking in the afterlife and talking to victims of violent acts. The hanged, the drowned, the faceless corpses, the mutilated are walking around me. If a piece of music is good, it stirs my emotions, it can fire my imagination. "Metamorphosis" is exactly the kind of music that crawls around you like a poisonous snake at first. It's a snake that makes you die in mad convulsions after swallowing a violent poison. ECOCIDE may not invent anything new or groundbreaking, but the novelty is not just an ordinary, well-played craft. The songs have something extra, a kind of patina, rottenness, darkness that I like so much in death metal. You know, I guess I have it like any fan. I'll lock myself in my room, sit down with the player and wait to see what the record does to me. Some float past me and leave me with nothing, and some, like "Metamorphosis", sink deep into my brain. It's always very important to me if I want to go back to records. I put this album in my head under pressure for a long time. It has a lot of energy, pressure, dirt and honest blasphemy. So I have no choice but to recommend the new album to you. Old school death thrash metal that will make you bleed! A wetting piece of rotten meat!

Položil jsem tělo na kamenný stůl. Naše pitevna je stará a byl jsem požádán o exhumaci. Kdysi zabitý člověk, měl jsem zjistit příčinu smrti. Vezmu do rukou skalpel a provedu první řez. Oddělím lebku a dívám se na mozek napadený snětí. Musel před smrtí hrozně trpět, přemýšlím a vše poctivě zapisuji. Otočím se, abych vyměnil kazetu v přehrávači. Zapnu play a z reproduktorů na mě zaútočí masivní, devastující death metal. Když se vrátím k mrtvole, tak tam není. Další okamžiky si pamatuji velmi málo. Jediné, co vím, tak jsem padal pomalu k zemi a měl proříznuté hrdlo.

Hudba finských MALFORMED opravdu patří do starých piteven, do temných chodeb, ve kterých řádí krásná sestřička s krvelačným pohledem. Kapela vznikla v roce 2022 a má na svém kontě jednu demonahrávku a live album. Jako starý pes musím rovnou napsat, že mě jejich muzika přikovala doslova na zeď. Je totiž poctivá, temná, divoká a uvěřitelná. 


Pánové uctívají staré tradiční krvavé kořeny. Stejně jako já mají rádi kapely typu SUFFOCATION, GORGUTS, DEMILICH, CRYPTOPSY. Potkávají se zde brutalita s technikou a takovým tím plesnivým odérem, který mám tolik rád. Jedná se o velmi chutně namíchaný smrtící koktejl, který když ochutnáte, tak se k němu budete stále vracet. Osobně oceňuji zvuk (Juuso Hämäläinen - production, mixing) a líbí se mi i tradiční černobílý motiv obalu (Doris Purola). Tohle je hudba, u které budete mlátit hlavou do zdi. Když jsem si dával "The Gathering of Souls" do uší, často se mi potom zdály děsivé sny. Vybíhal jsem v nich z pitevny rovnou na starý hřbitov, abych potom drtil v márnici prašivé kosti. Finové jsou nekompromisní, maniakální a neznají slitování. Zároveň umí složit velmi temné a chladné melodie. Atmosféra celého EP je velmi návyková. Pitval jsem za svůj život již hodně těl, slyšel jsem velké množství smrtících kapel, ale MALFORMED jsem si ihned oblíbil. Protože jim věřím jejich morbidní práci. Působí na mě jako řezníci, kteří perfektně zvládají svoje řemeslo a zároveň si zachovávají radost ze své práce. V dnešní době je velká spousta mladých kapel, které se snaží hrát postaru, ale jen některé to opravdu umí. Tahle smečka mě přesvědčila, je totiž výborná. A teď už mě prosím nechte, přivezli mi další tělo. Skalpel je nabroušen, hudba připravena. Opět zapínám play a tančím v rytmu "The Gathering of Souls". Přidávají se všichni nemrtví i ty nejkrásnější zombie. Další okamžiky si pamatuji velmi málo. Jediné, co vím, tak jsem padal pomalu k zemi a měl proříznuté hrdlo. Brutální, temný a prašivý death metal ze starých piteven! Masakr oživlých mrtvol!

I put the body on the stone table. Our autopsy room is old and I was asked to exhume. A man once killed, I was to find out the cause of death. I take the scalpel and make the first incision. I separate the skull and look at the brain infected by the anthrax. He must have suffered terribly before he died, I think, and write everything down honestly. I turn to change the tape in the player. I put it on play and massive, devastating death metal assaults me from the speakers. When I return to the corpse, it's not there. I remember very few other moments. All I know is that I was falling slowly to the ground with my throat slit.

The music of Finnish MALFORMED really belongs in old morgues, in dark corridors where a beautiful nurse with a bloodthirsty look is raging. Formed in 2022, the band has one demo and a live album to their credit. As an old dog, I have to write straight away that their music has literally nailed me to the wall. It is honest, dark, wild and believable.


Gentlemen worship the old traditional blood roots. Like me, they like bands like SUFFOCATION, GORGUTS, DEMILICH, CRYPTOPSY. Brutality meets technique and that moldy oeuvre I like so much. This is a very tastefully mixed lethal cocktail that once you taste it, you'll keep coming back to it. Personally, I appreciate the sound (Juuso Hämäläinen - production, mixing) and I like the traditional black and white cover motif (Doris Purola). This is music that will have you banging your head against the wall. When I put "The Gathering of Souls" in my ears, I often had scary dreams afterwards. In them, I'd run from the autopsy room straight to the old cemetery, only to later crush mangy bones in the morgue. The Finns are uncompromising, maniacal and have no mercy. At the same time he can compose very dark and cold melodies. The atmosphere of the whole EP is very addictive. I have dissected many bodies in my life, I have heard a large number of deadly bands, but I immediately liked MALFORMED. Because I trust their morbid work. They strike me as butchers who master their craft perfectly while retaining the joy of their work. There are a lot of young bands these days that are trying to play the old fashioned way, but only some of them can really do it. This bunch convinced me, because they're great. And now please leave me alone, they've brought me another body. The scalpel is sharpened, the music is ready. I'm back on and dancing to "The Gathering of Souls". All the undead and the most beautiful zombies are joining in. I remember very few other moments. All I know is that I was falling slowly to the ground with my throat slit. Brutal, dark and dusty death metal from the old slaughterhouses! The massacre of the reanimated corpses!

A few questions - interview with death metal band from Finland - MALFORMED.

Ave, can you introduce your band to our readers? – When was it founded and what style of music do you play etc.?

MALFORMED was founded in early 2022 by guitarist/lead vocalist Eetu Hyvönen and bassist/backing vocalist Pauli Niemi, and our lineup became intact in late 2022 after the inclusion of guitarist Akseli Lindroos and drummer Jani Seppi. However, our first release, Uncontrollable Malformity features Felix Pennanen from Disguised Malignance behind the drumkit since we had not found a full time drummer by then. Our own brand of death metal is forged by various brutal and technical old-school influences combined with our imagination and original sound.

Where and under what conditions were you recording the new album? Who was in charge of sound, production and mastering?

Our upcoming release, "The Gathering of Souls"-EP (OUT OCTOBER 13th on EXTREMELY ROTTEN PRODUCTIONS) was recorded at our rehearsal place in a barren industrial area in Espoo. Juuso Hämäläinen from Azatoth and Disguised Malignance handled all production, except for the vinyl masters.


How many copies were released and which medium was used for this new edition (CD, digital, vinyl, cassette)?

The exact quantities of the EP are yet to be announced, but all info will be found on Extremely Rotten Productions' social media.

Who is the author of the lyrics and how were they created and about what do the lyrics deal with?

Eetu and Pauli have so far been in charge of all the lyrics. The lyrics deal with death, the human mind and anti-religious social commentary.

Who created the logo of the band, and who took care of the graphics and the website? What about you and social networks? Do you consider these things important?

Our logo was created by Juuso Hämäläinen. The upcoming EP's amazing artwork was done by Doris Purola (instagram: @dorisphobic). Social media is of course important nowadays, but while we do keep our socials updated and it's a great way to get in touch with people, we'd still rather concentrate on the music.


Which label did you choose for releasing your album and why this label? Are you satisfied by how your label represents you and takés care about you?

We met ERP's head huncho David Mikkelsen at a show we opened for his band Phrenelith back in March. After that, we discussed about the possibility of ERP releasing our EP, and after that we didn't even have any other labels in mind. We have been extremely satisfied, and in eternal gratitude towards David!

Which bands do you idolise and where do you get your inspiration?

We don't necessarily idolise anyone, but our main influences include early Cryptopsy, Gorguts, Suffocation and some Finnish legends like Demilich.


How many gigs have you played? Which type of gigs do you prefer, whether it's (clubs or festivals) and which of your performances would you consider as the best?

We've played around 10 gigs so far with many more to come, ranging from festival appearances to clubs. A good weekend show at a packed club or bar is always intense and filled with adrenaline, but we're just happy to play wherever.

What about your plans for the future? What do you want to achieve with the band?

We have been writing a full-length album and improving at our instruments, and we hope to keep this band going and growing.

Možná je to vstup do pekla, možná do jiné, děsivé dimenze. Sestoupil si několik metrů pod zem a nasával si pach prašiviny. Kolem ležely zbytky shnilých těl. Vyděšené tváře, bílé kosti, smějící se lebky. Cítil si chlad, strachem ses nemohl skoro hýbat. Staré, rezavé dveře, o kterých kolují legendy. Otevřeš je a shoříš na popel. Stejně jako při poslechu nového alba amerických black death metalistů RUIN LUST.

Jedná se o opravdu ďábelskou záležitost. Pokud se vám líbí tajemné chodby podsvětí a rádi svůj čas trávíte převážně v temnotě, bude se vám nová deska "Dissimulant" líbit. Je po okraj narvaná ostrými melodiemi, plísní, šílenstvím a hlavně hudbou, která vás rozseká na malé kousky. Přesně takhle se bude hrát jednou na světě, až nás všechny ovládne Satan. 


Pohybujeme se samozřejmě v záhrobí. Kapela má svůj jasný a zřetelný rukopis a jejich tvorbu lze přirovnat k tomu, co hrají smečky jako INCANTATION, MORBID ANGEL, LVCIFYRE, BLASPHEMY, BEHERIT, PROCLAMATION, ARCHGOAT, SARCÓFAGO, BLACK WITCHERY. Tedy, nic pro slabé jedince. Tady se jedná o špínu, o smradlavou stoku, ve které se převalují nafouklá těla rozkládajících se utopenců. Když novou nahrávku poslouchám, moje fantazie pracuje v šílených rytmech. Promítají se mi na zeď děsivé hororové filmy, ve kterých účinkují démoni i noční můry. Tohle jsou ozvěny, které lze zaslechnout ve znesvěcených kostelech, v chrámech bolesti, ve kterých byly prováděny krvavé rituály. Poslech se mi nejvíce osvědčil uprostřed noci. Nebo ráno, cestou do práce, když se v ulicích válela mlha a přízraky uléhaly do svých rakví. Líbí se mi, jakým způsobem jsou skladby napsány, riffy mě řežou a pálí, u bicích praskají moje kosti a vokál připomíná choroby ze starých časů. Schválně, zkuste někdy zhasnout všechna světla a vydat se hřbitov. Uvidíte sami, nemrtví za vámi sami přijdou a za zvuků "Dissimulant" vám budou vyprávět o utrpení a bolesti. Nakonec vás sežerou zaživa, jako tohle album, jako tohle nekonečné rouhání. Kapele se povedlo vypálit mi cejch. Nezbývá, než odříkat zvrácenou modlitbu. Maybe it's an entrance to hell, maybe it's another, scary dimension. He descended a few feet underground and sucked in the smell of dirt. The remains of rotting bodies lay around. Terrified faces, white bones, laughing skulls. You felt cold, you could hardly move for fear. An old, rusty door, the stuff of legends. You open it and you burn to ashes. Just like listening to the new album of American black death metallers RUIN LUST.

This is a truly diabolical affair. If you like mysterious corridors of the underworld and like to spend your time mostly in the dark, you will like the new album "Dissimulant". It's packed to the brim with edgy melodies, mould, madness and most importantly music that will cut you to pieces. This is exactly how the world will be played one day when Satan takes us all over.


We are, of course, moving in the afterlife. The band has a clear and distinct signature and their work can be compared to that of bands like INCANTATION, MORBID ANGEL, LVCIFYRE, BLASPHEMY, BEHERIT, PROCLAMATION, ARCHGOAT, SARCÓFAGO, BLACK WITCHERY. I mean, nothing for the weak individuals. This is a filth, a stinking sewer, in which the bloated bodies of decomposing drowned people roll. When I listen to the new record, my imagination works in crazy rhythms. I'm projecting scary horror movies on my wall, featuring demons and nightmares. These are echoes that can be heard in desecrated churches, temples of pain where bloody rituals were performed. Listening to them in the middle of the night has been most helpful to me. Or in the morning, on the way to work, when the fog rolled in the streets and the ghosts lay down in their coffins. I like the way the songs are written, the riffs cut and burn me, the drums crack my bones and the vocals remind me of the diseases of old. I mean, try turning off all the lights and heading to the cemetery sometime. You'll see for yourself, the undead will come to you and tell you of their suffering and pain to the sounds of "Dissimulant". Eventually they'll eat you alive, like this album, like this endless blasphemy. The band managed to burn my mark. All I can do is say a perverse prayer. Maybe it's an entrance to hell, maybe it's another, scary dimension. I descended a few meters underground and sucked in the smell of dirt. The remains of rotting bodies lay around. Tančí všichni. Živí i mrtví. Kroutí se do rytmu a usmívají se. K propojení syrového světa a virtuální reality došlo teprve nedávno. Přesto to ovlivnilo všechny. Napojeni na síť chodíme ulicemi jako zombie. Náš mozek se vaří ve vlastní šťávě a všechno je jenom o bolesti. Víc podnětů, víc krve, víc dopaminu. Další level, další krutá smrt. Odložíš klávesnici, vypneš počítač a vezmeš do rukou zbraň. Oba světy jsou dávno propojeny. Není před tím úniku. Záleží jen na tobě, jestli vyhraješ a nebo prohraješ.

Máme tu nové album brazilských death thrasherů TORTURE SQUAD, kteří říznuli přímo do živého. V nových skladbách hrají a zpívají o tématech, které se dotýkají nás všech. Počítačové hry, temnota virtuální reality, psychické problémy, úzkost, deprese, nekonečné seriály. Tohle všechno kolem nás poletuje a ovlivňuje nás. Pánové a dáma se rozhodli nám pořádně nakopat zadky. A dělají to opět velmi elegantně a s jiskrou v oku. 


Přiznám se, že nejsem moc velký fanoušek klipů, ale tentokrát jsem si opravdu užíval. Takhle dobře natočený a nahraný snímek ke skladbě "Hell is Coming" jsem už hodně dlouho neviděl. Novinka je velmi pestrým albem. Kapela nahrála v této sestavě druhou desku a musím napsat, že mi připadá jako politá mrtvou vodou. Základem je živočišný, syrový death metal kombinovaný s ostrým thrashem. TORTURE SQUAD se ale vyvíjejí a přidávají i progresivní prvky, vlivy brazilské hudby i symfonické pasáže. Výsledkem je velmi chutný koktejl, na který budou opravdu tančit mrtví i živí. Pochválit musím zvuk, který je opravdu mocný a divoký (Martin Furia - mastering, Diego Rocha - producer, recording, mixing). Povedl se i ďábelský motiv na obalu (Marcelo Vasco, který má za sebou i covery pro SEPULTURU, SOUFLY, DIMMU BORGIR). Novinka mě ihned uhodila do obličeje a stala se na dlouhý čas velmi častým hostem v mém přehrávači. Líbí se mi způsob, jakým jsou skladby napsány, oceňuji, že se pánové a dáma pustili i do lehkých experimentů. Je slyšet, že je baví hrát, skládat, v jednotlivých motivech je spousta energie, tlaku. Stejně jako mě nebaví moc sledovat videa, tak ani nehraji počítačové hry. Ale při poslechu "Devilish" si připadám, jako bych byl přímo uvnitř, v jiné dimenzi. Obklopuje mě temnota, kterou si lidé přinesli z reálného světa. Mám rád nahrávky, které donutí posluchače k zamyšlení. A to umí TORTURE SQUAD na výbornou. Kapela má svůj vlastní výraz, ksicht, postupy a poznáte je během několika okamžiků. Nezbývá mi nic jiného, než vám novou desku doporučit. Hoří totiž jasným plamenem! Thrash death metalový opus, krutá symfonie lidských myšlenek! Dokonalá esence extrémního metalu!

Everybody's dancing. The living and the dead. They twist to the beat and smile. The connection between the raw world and virtual reality has only recently been made. Yet it has affected everyone. Connected to the net, we walk the streets like zombies. Our brains boil in their own juice and it's all about pain. More stimuli, more blood, more dopamine. Another level, another cruel death. You put down the keyboard, turn off the computer and pick up the gun. The two worlds are long since connected. There's no escape. It's up to you to win or lose.

We've got a new album from Brazilian death thrashers TORTURE SQUAD, who cut straight to the live. In their new songs they play and sing about themes that touch us all. Computer games, the darkness of virtual reality, mental problems, anxiety, depression, endless soap operas. It's all floating around and affecting us. Gentlemen and lady have decided to kick our asses. And they're doing it again very elegantly and with a twinkle in their eye.


I admit I'm not a big fan of music videos, but I really enjoyed this one. I haven't seen such a well shot and recorded clip for "Hell is Coming" in a long time. The new album is a very varied album. The band recorded their second album with this lineup and I have to write that it feels like dead water poured on it. The basis is animalistic, raw death metal combined with sharp thrash. But TORTURE SQUAD evolve and add progressive elements, Brazilian music influences and symphonic passages. The result is a very tasty cocktail that the dead and the living will really dance to. I must praise the sound, which is really powerful and wild (Martin Furia - mastering, Diego Rocha - producer, recording, mixing). The devilish motif on the cover (Marcelo Vasco, who has also done covers for SEPULTURA, SOUFLY, DIMMU BORGIR) is also a success. The novelty immediately hit me in the face and became a very frequent guest in my player for a long time. I like the way the songs are written, I appreciate that the gentlemen and the lady have even ventured into some light experimentation. You can hear that they enjoy playing, composing, there is a lot of energy, pressure in the individual motives. Just as I don't enjoy watching videos much, I don't play computer games either. But listening to "Devilish" I feel like I'm right inside, in another dimension. I'm surrounded by a darkness that people have brought from the real world. I like records that make the listener think. And TORTURE SQUAD does that very well. The band has its own expression, face, methods and you get to know them in a few moments. I have no other choice but to recommend the new album to you. It burns with a bright flame! Thrash death metal opus, a cruel symphony of human thoughts! The perfect essence of extreme metal!
