Can you introduce your band to our readers? When was it founded and what style of music do you play, etc.?

Hey there! Cryptic Process is the story of two buddies who have always loved making music together and seized the opportunity to reunite. So, it's Ugo on guitar and drum programming and Damien on vocals. This project was born during the Covid pandemic in 2020; we're old friends and just wanted to get back to playing Brutal Death together. As for our background, we're former members and founders of Goryptic (and Heresy). Both of us had a stint in Grindcore for several years: Ugo played guitar in Trepan’Dead, and Dam was a vocalist in Unsu. Our style is Brutal Death with touches of Grindcore and even some Slam elements here and there.

Where and under what conditions did you record the new album? Who was responsible for the sound, production, and mastering?

We recorded the album in August 2023 in our rehearsal space. We locked ourselves in for about ten days and did everything from A to Z. Since Ugo is a sound engineer, he had everything prepared and knew exactly what he was doing! He also handled the mixing and mastering. We were very meticulous and didn't let anything pass until we had a completely satisfying result. It was enriching as an experience, not only in terms of our own instruments but also in discussions and choices regarding the sound/mix/testing, etc.


How many copies were published, and what format was used for this new edition (CD, digital, vinyl, cassette)? Who wrote the lyrics and how were they created, and what are the lyrics about?

We released 500 copies in a 6-panel digipack to allow for more panoramic visuals. Dam: As for the lyrics, they're quite varied, covering various subjects. There are lyrics about the current absurdity of our world, life entangled in these networks, compulsive overconsumption, my personal experiences, but also totally spacey lyrics about entities visiting us (beings from another hostile dimension, for example). We're not into the ultra-gore stuff like most bands in our style, but there are elements here and there. However, I try to create real stories and not just say "kill kill, blood, guts." In fact, about half of the lyrics are in French. Some texts flow easily and quickly, while others are more difficult to come up with because I don't want to reuse the same words. I aim to deepen and vary the elements; it's just a matter of honesty with myself. Vocals are first and foremost an instrument with multiple sounds to explore, which should bind the composition together and make it even more massive and violent. Vocal variations are as important as variations in other instruments.

Who created the band logo, and who handled the graphics and website? And what about social media? Do you consider these things important?

Dam: The original logo was created by me, but we weren't 100% satisfied, so we enlisted an artist named Brilliansyah who did a great job! As for the visuals, I developed everything myself. The concept stemmed from a title we really like, "Human Snack" (which closes the album). From there, I imagined a story where essentially the human species was "planted" on this planet by beings from who knows where (everyone can imagine what they prefer: other dimensions/demons, etc.) to be later harvested and eaten, like common snacks. Added to this is a fury multiplied by these beings upon realizing how much our species had destroyed its habitat. We love this dirty, dusty, hopeless, no-return-possible aspect. We could have easily gone for the classic gore style, but that's not really our thing. We prefer bizarre and gloomy universes. These creatures have extraordinary dimensions; they are gigantic reapers. As for the realization, I did it myself. I'm a graphic designer by profession, but I'm fascinated by what can be achieved today with AI, in particular. Using AI in a band that already has a "robotic" drummer is very coherent from our point of view. So, I had to learn to use it because it's not a magical tool that produces a wonderful result with just three prompts, contrary to what some may think. It's a tool to be approached like Photoshop was when it was first released. So, I experimented with a lot of things for several weeks until I got a solid foundation. Then I used this material to build the entire universe of this album cover. We wanted a 6-panel digipack to have two fairly explicit panoramic visuals. As for social media and the website, I created them myself. It takes time and effort to acquire knowledge, but we like to manage things ourselves, and it's worth the effort. Social media is indeed very important. Let's not kid ourselves; the dissemination of everything goes through there and not through "physical" stores anymore (and I've experienced both, so I can make a good comparison, lol).


Which label did you choose for the release of your album, and why this label? Are you satisfied with how your label represents you and takes care of you?

We don't have labels per se, but two promo/distribution partners, Crypt Of Dr. Gore and Drowning In Chaos Records. They helped us finance the pressing of the album and, more importantly, they help us with its distribution. It's a deal that suits us quite well, done in good faith, and the guys are motivated!

Which bands do you idolize, and where do you draw your inspiration from?

Well, the term "idolize" is a bit strong, lol! But of course, there are bands that we love and that have strongly inspired us. In terms of influences, we like a lot of bands like Goratory, Necrophagist, Cryptopsy, Dying Fetus, Aborted, or even Infant Annihilator. And some more old-school stuff like Pantera, Carcass, etc. We also listen to totally different styles that can bring openness to our own compositions.


Did you send your recording to labels - which labels? What was the response?

No, not at all, we're not actively seeking to be signed by a label! We've always been self-produced with our previous bands, and that suits us just fine (that's our "A to Z control" side). But we're not closed off to it! If a label offers us an honest deal that suits us, why not! In the meantime, our partnerships suit us just fine.

How many concerts have you given? What type of concerts do you prefer, whether it's clubs or festivals, and which of your performances do you consider the best?

We've had 2 concerts so far, one on April 26 in St-Omer for a festival warm-up, and the other on May 4 in Paris for a festival featuring Inhumate (a big French grindcore band). It was totally new for us to come and offer a concept (not new) but experimental for us: 2 musicians only with the drummer coming out of the sound system! And honestly, it was excellent! In Paris, people really got into it, even though many were initially intrigued and wondered what was going on, haha. And in the end, it was war! People were really moving! The feedback was good, and we're thrilled to finally be able to perform HUMAN SNACK live! Everyone had a smile, and that's fantastic!

Every venue is different and has its own energy; we like the proximity to the audience, so bars are cool, but big stages with lots of people and awesome sound... that's great too! A concert also depends a lot on the receptiveness of the audience; if people are really into it and moving, it's great and it will give good memories to everyone, both the band and the audience!


What are your plans for the future? What do you want to achieve with the band?

All we want is to play together, compose, and have a good time! We're primarily friends who love what we do. We don't have a "career plan" or anything; we just want to keep composing songs, playing, and doing concerts!

Už dávno jsi ztratil víru v lidský rod. Všude je jenom nenávist, bolest a utrpení. Připadáš si jako stín, jako neviditelný. Raději mizíš mezi stíny, do lesa, do starých katakomb. V chladu a tmě čekáš na jedinou spravedlivou věc na světě, na smrt. Jenže ta nepřichází. Modlíš se k vesmíru, vzýváš přírodní živly a posloucháš black metal. Dostalo se mi do rukou debutové EP maniaků COMPRESSMassachusetts. Je po okraj narvané špínou, hnisem, misantropií a nihilismem.

Dlouhé, naléhavé a drásají skladby působí jako ozvěny z jiného světa. Občas bývám neklidný. Štve mě všechno kolem a utíkám pryč. Procházím se po lesních pěšinách, obdivuji mrtvé oči obětí, které hnijí na mýtinách. Stávám se pomalu součástí věčnosti, rozpadám se v prach. Nové EP je velmi dobře napsané, ihned se mi dostalo do krve. 


Členové kapely patří mezi zkušené muzikanty. Třeba vokalista Connor Dooley působil již ve smečkách jako Morgirion, Lustrum, Misanthropos. Můžete si tak být absolutně jisti, že o kvalitu je zde postaráno. Zvuk, produkce, obal, vše sedí perfektně na svých místech a doplňuje nápady, kterých je na EP velké množství. Stačí se jen soustředit. Základem je klasický, tradiční black metal, který je dále rozvíjen, kořeněn. Přiznám se, že jsem si nahrávku dával do uší převážně ráno, když ještě mrzlo. Ulice byly prázdné a já našlapoval do rytmu. Moje kroky vedly vždy ven, do lesů, na jeden dávno opuštěný hřbitov. Hlavou mi létaly jen samé, do černé zbarvené myšlenky. Myslím, že každý, kdo má tenhle styl rád, měl by z "The Final Level of Consciousness" ochutnat. Někdy i cesta, plná bolesti a utrpení, může být nakonec cílem. Tohle je muzika pro fanoušky, kteří u ní rádi přemýšlejí, kteří se nechávají s chutí rozdrásat do krve. Vše působí velmi tajemně, uhrančivě, syrově. Jako bych se stal svým vlastním stínem. S úsměvem sleduji své konání, ale dávno jsem již v jiné dimenzi. Tak to vidíte, některá hudba ve mě dokáže probudit různé a do pestrých odstínů šedé utkané obrazce. Představte si obrovský trychtýř, který vám někdo zatluče do hlavy. Bude vám proudit do mozku obrovské množství temné energie odněkud z vesmíru. Tak přesně takhle na mě působí i nová deska těchto tmářů. Už dávno jsi ztratil víru v lidský rod. Všude je jenom nenávist, bolest a utrpení. Připadáš si jako stín, jako neviditelný. Raději mizíš mezi stíny, do lesa, do starých katakomb. V chladu a tmě čekáš na jedinou spravedlivou věc na světě, na smrt. Jenže ta nepřichází. Temný, naléhavý, nervy drásající black metal! Těžké ozvěny vlastní existence!

You lost faith in the human race a long time ago. There is only hatred, pain and suffering everywhere. You feel like a shadow, invisible. You'd rather disappear into the shadows, into the forest, into the old catacombs. In the cold and dark, you wait for the only just thing in the world, death. But it doesn't come. You pray to the universe, invoke the elements and listen to black metal. I got my hands on the debut EP from Massachusetts maniacs COMPRESS. It's filled to the brim with filth, pus, misanthropy and nihilism.

The long, urgent and gut-wrenching tracks feel like echoes from another world. Sometimes I get restless. I'm annoyed by everything around me and I run away. I walk the forest paths, admiring the dead eyes of the victims rotting in the clearings. I'm slowly becoming part of eternity, crumbling into dust. The new EP is very well written, it immediately got into my blood. 


The band members are experienced musicians. For example, vocalist Connor Dooley has been in bands like Morgirion, Lustrum, Misanthropos. So you can be absolutely sure that the quality is taken care of here. The sound, the production, the cover art, everything fits perfectly in place and complements the ideas that abound on the EP. All you have to do is concentrate. The foundation is classic, traditional black metal, which is further developed, spiced up. I admit that I put the record in my ears mostly in the morning when it was still freezing. The streets were empty and I was pedaling to the beat. My steps always led outside, into the woods, to a long-abandoned cemetery. Only thoughts flew through my head, all black in colour. I think anyone who likes this style should sample "The Final Level of Consciousness". Sometimes even a journey full of pain and suffering can be a destination in the end. This is music for fans who like to think, who like to be ripped to shreds. Everything is very mysterious, mesmerizing, raw. It's like I've become my own shadow. I watch my actions with a smile, but I've been in another dimension for a long time. So you see, some music can awaken different patterns woven into colourful shades of grey. Imagine a huge funnel being slammed into your head. A huge amount of dark energy will flow into your brain from somewhere in the universe. That's exactly how the new record by these darkies strikes me. You lost faith in the human race a long time ago. There's nothing but hate, pain and suffering everywhere. You feel like a shadow, invisible. You'd rather disappear into the shadows, into the forest, into the old catacombs. In the cold and dark, you wait for the only just thing in the world, death. But it doesn't come. Dark, urgent, nerve-wracking black metal! Heavy echoes of your own existence!

Vždycky ses rád díval. Na spící dívky v cizích domech. Nevěděly o tobě. Měl si je ve své moci. Začalo to už kdysi dávno. Tvoje matka nepatřila k nejhodnějším. Trápila tě a nenechala nikdy vyspat. Zvykl sis. Začal si žít v noci. Stával si ve stínu a sledovat spokojené životy ostatních. Kdyby jen věděli. Vždycky sis vzal něco na památku. Do své sbírky. A zůstávala po tobě pokaždé dlouhá krvavá stopa. 

Francouzští maniaci BENIGHTED jsou zpět, aby nás opět vzali na děsivý výlet do temných zákoutí lidské mysli. Pánové znovu přinášejí pořádnou porci na kost ohlodaných melodií, šílených zážitků a hudby, která každému fanouškovi extrémní muziky pronikne hluboko do mozku. Už nikdy nebudete takoví jako dřív. Během poslechu nové desky začnete hnít zaživa!


Jak asi víte, tak francouzským brutal death grind core šílencům se věnujeme u nás na stránkách dlouhodobě. Vždy se mi líbilo, jakým způsobem postupně posouvají hranice agresivity v hudbě. Viděl jsem je i několikrát na živém vystoupení a fascinovala mě neskutečná změna, jakou pánové pokaždé procházeli. Mezi lidmi vstřícní, pohodoví a milí kluci, na pódiu divoká zvířata. BENIGHTED mají dar ve vás probudit ty nejhorší démony. Vytáhnout na povrch děsivá svědectví a morbidní představy, kterých je schopen člověk. Letos se opět pohybují mezi totálně zničujícími nářezy, u kterých si budete chtít vystřelit mozek z hlavy a chladnými, temnými a krvavými pasážemi, které vás ale budou děsit úplně stejně. Jestliže jsou některé kapely přirovnávány k hororům, ve kterých stříká krev všude kolem, francouzští patologové lidských myslí na to jdou přeci jenom trošku jinak. Dostávají se pod povrch, do podvědomí. Za pomocí ostrých riffů, masakrujících bicích i jako vždy skvělého a charakteristického vokálu Juliena Truchana. Při poslechu "Ekbom" budete mít opravdu syndrom neklidných nohou. Je prostým faktem, že se mi nové album opět dostalo nejen do hlavy, když jsem vzhůru, ale i do snů. Budil jsem se uprostřed noci, jakoby někdo stál v mém pokoji a sledoval mě. Užíval jsem si surový zvuk, jednotlivé výpady, panické ataky, všechnu špínu, která zase vyplavala na povrch. Dost často jsem si také vzpomněl na jeden černobílý dokument, ve kterém patologové otevřeli mozek pacienta. Měl uvnitř parazity, hladové červy, kteří se kroutily v podivných rytmech. Nebožák ještě žil. Tak přesně takhle se cítím, když poslouchám tuhle desku. BENIGHTED mají svůj nezaměnitelný styl, který nadále zdokonalují. Výborná nahrávka! Brutální, grindová noční můra, při které vyplavou na povrch ty nejzvrácenější myšlenky! Znepokojivý, neklidný pád do propasti lidské mysli!

As you probably know, we have been covering French brutal death grind core madmen for a long time. I've always liked the way they gradually push the boundaries of aggression in music. I've seen them live a few times as well, and I was fascinated by the incredible change the gentlemen went through each time. Friendly, easy-going and nice guys amongst the people, wild animals on stage. BENIGHTED have the gift to bring out the worst demons in you. To bring to the surface the horrifying testimonies and morbid imaginings that man is capable of. This year, they again move between totally devastating blasts that will make you want to blow your brains out and cold, dark and bloody passages that will scare you just the same. If some bands are likened to horror movies with blood spraying everywhere, French human pathologists go about it a little differently. They get below the surface, into the subconscious. With the help of sharp riffs, butchering drums and Julien Truchan's great and characteristic vocals as always. Listening to "Ekbom" will really give you restless leg syndrome. It's a simple fact that the new album has once again gotten not only into my head when I'm awake, but also into my dreams. I would wake up in the middle of the night, as if someone was standing in my room watching me. I enjoyed the raw sound, the individual lunges, the panic attacks, all the dirt that surfaced again. Quite often I also remembered a black and white documentary in which pathologists opened the brain of a patient. He had parasites inside, hungry worms that wriggled in strange rhythms. The poor guy was still alive. That's exactly how I feel when I listen to this record. BENIGHTED have an unmistakable style that they continue to refine. A great record! A brutal, grinding nightmare that brings out the sickest thoughts! A disturbing, unsettling descent into the abyss of the human mind!

Měl to vždycky v sobě. Takovou tu skrytou nenávist, která vypluje na povrch, když se člověk dostane do extrémní situace. Líbilo se mu, když mohl zabodnout nůž někomu do vnitřností a otočit jím. Viděl pak vnitřnosti, které vylézaly ven a také strach a bolest v očích oběti. Pomalu unikající život, pocit moci. Stal se z něj dobrý voják. Dostal několik vyznamenání. Jenže boje už dávno utichly. A tak se toulal nočními ulicemi a byl znovu na lovu. Už zase se cítil silný, mocný. 

O podobném maniakovi psali nedávno v novinách. Na jeho příběh jsem si vzpomněl, když jsem začal poslouchat debutové album francouzských CRYPTIC PROCESS. Kapely, jejíchž podstatou je podobná, hudební brutalita. Vítejte na starých jatkách, na kterých dostanete poctivou porci mokvajícího masa. 


Je to masakr, který je ve tradičním stylu. Taková brutální klasika, dalo by se také napsat. Inspirovaná smečkami jako GORATORY, NECROPHAGIST, CRYPTOPSY, DYING FETUS. Pokud to máte rádi takto krvavě a nekompromisně, tak jste zde správně. Brutální pasáže se střídají s těmi grindovými a výsledkem je mlýn s ostrými čepelemi, který vás rozseká na malé kousky. Pokud si potřebujete vyčistit hlavu od zbytečných informací, pokud vás naštval šéf v práci, pokud jste frustrovaní a naštvaní, doporučuji vám poslouchat "Human Snack" hodně nahlas. Jen si dejte pozor, aby vám nepukla lebka tlakem. Je asi všem jasné, že pánové nepřinášejí nic nového, ani převratného, ale to vůbec nevadí. Raději se nechme spolu s kapelou zavřít do staré, dávno opuštěné pitevny. Oběť je připravena. Podejte mi někdo skalpel a pusťte mi tuhle desku. Jinak se mi budou klepat ruce a pacient by mohl přežít. Pánové jsou rychlí a divocí, umí mě přikovat svojí hudbou na zeď. Tahle hudba byla vždy o ošklivých, zlých věcech a Francouzi moc dobře ví, jak ji hrát. Nemám žádných námitek ani proti zvuku, ani proti obalu. Po formální stránce je vše v nejlepším pořádku. Skladbami se potom vznáší ještě takový ten divný pocit, který mívají lovené oběti. Vše je velmi surové, zničující, bolestivé, jako reálná,  krutá smrt. Líbí se mi, jakým způsobem tihle gentlemani ke své hudbě přistupují. Jsou opravdoví, reální, syroví a mohu jim jejich morbidní práci věřit. Za mě nelze jinak, než doporučit všem, kteří mají tento styl rádi. Měl to vždycky v sobě. Takovou tu skrytou nenávist, která vypluje na povrch, když se člověk dostane do extrémní situace. Brutální death grindcore metal, který vám vyrve všechny vnitřnosti z těla! Budete zničeni a rozdrceni!

He always had it in him. That hidden hatred that comes out when you're in an extreme situation. He liked it when he could stick a knife in someone's gut and twist it. He could see the guts coming out and the fear and pain in the victim's eyes. Life slowly slipping away, the feeling of power. He became a good soldier. He received several decorations. But the fighting had long since died down. And so he wandered the night streets and was on the hunt again. He felt strong again, powerful again.

There was a maniac like this in the papers recently. I was reminded of his story when I started listening to the debut album of French CRYPTIC PROCESS. A band whose essence is similar, musical brutality. Welcome to the old abattoir, where you'll get a fair portion of dripping meat.


It's a massacre that is in the traditional style. Such a brutal classic, one could also write. Inspired by packs like GORATORY, NECROPHAGIST, CRYPTOPSY, DYING FETUS. If you like it this bloody and uncompromising, you've come to the right place. Brutal passages alternate with grind ones and the result is a razor sharp grinder that will cut you into small pieces. If you need to clear your head of unnecessary information, if you're pissed off with your boss at work, if you're frustrated and angry, I recommend listening to "Human Snack" very loudly. Just be careful not to crack your skull with the pressure. It's probably clear to everyone that the gentlemen aren't bringing anything new or groundbreaking, but that's okay. Better to be locked up with the band in an old, long-abandoned autopsy room. The sacrifice is ready. Somebody hand me a scalpel and play me this record. Otherwise my hands will be shaking and the patient might survive. The gentlemen are fast and furious, they can pin me to the wall with their music. This music has always been about ugly, bad things and the French know how to play it very well. I have no objection to either the sound or the cover. Formally, everything is in the best order. Then there's that strange feeling that hunted victims have. Everything is very raw, devastating, painful, like a real, cruel death. I like the way these gentlemen approach their music. They are real, real, raw and I can trust their morbid work. For me, I can't help but recommend them to anyone who likes this style. It's always had it in it. That kind of hidden hatred that comes out when you get into an extreme situation. Brutal death grindcore metal that will rip your guts out! You will be destroyed and crushed!

Mrtvolný zápach rozkládajících se mršin. Kosti, popraskané tlakem a bolestí, která nezmizela ani po smrti. Bdění nad mrtvými a kremace, která nás má očistit od všeho zlého. Jenže někdy to nebývá pravda. Zlý člověk často zůstává, jeho ohavné činy škodí ještě dlouho potom, co odejde do země stínů. Vstávám velmi brzy a zase vidím mezi stromy přízraky. Poslouchám novou desku japonských doom death metalistů COFFINS a připadám si, jako bych byl zahalený do černé, krvavé mlhy. Tohle je kapela, která má obrovský dar zabíjet svojí hudbou.

Mezi skladbami se šíří odporný zápach. Z vnitřností lezou červi a lebky mají prázdný pohled. Vzduchem se vznáší obžaloba všech, kteří zůstali ještě trošku naživu. Troufám si tvrdit, že i letos dostála tato legenda svému jménu. Je na ně spolehnutí. Kapela musela trávit těch dlouhých pět let, od vydání předchozí nahrávky, hluboko pod zemí. V nekonečných katakombách, ve kterých nasbírala inspiraci. Zlé a ošklivé myšlenky byly přeneseny pomocí vynikajícího, masivního a dunivého zvuku (který je pro tuhle smečku tolik typický) na hudební nosič. Výsledkem je mokvající koktejl, který když pozřete, tak zemřete v nekonečných křečích.  


Album se mi otisklo do myšlenek jako nějaká zlá modlitba, jako cejch. Rád jsem se k jednotlivých skladbám vracel. Nejlépe, když se venku setmělo a dveře do záhrobí byly otevřené. COFFINS se příliš nemění a je to moc dobře. Můžete si být opět jistí, že pánové dodali svoje typické postupy. Jejich styl je vypilovaný k dokonalosti. Zavřeni v dávno opuštěných hrobkách se kýveme do rytmu pochmurných melodií. Už dávno jsme neviděli světlo. Kolem se plouží dlouhé stíny nemrtvých, jejich protáhlé obličeje, plné žalosti, smutku a utrpení. Sem, do starých rakví, mezi ztrouchnivělá těla, mezi prokleté deska "Sinister Oath" patří. Poslouchejte pozorně, nechte se ukolébat morbidním rytmem. Nová nahrávka se kolem vás bude nejdřív plazit jako klubko prudce jedovatých hadů Postupně, pomalu vás uhrane, aby vás nakonec uštkla. Tahle skupina má svůj zřetelný a neopakovatelný rukopis, originální výraz, který poznáte během několika prvních tónů. Na novince jsou pánové ve velmi dobré formě. Rád jsem s kapelou proséval mezi prsty prach svých předků. Drtil staré kosti, lámal je a vyřezával z nich rituální amulety. Zmínit musím i parádní motiv na obalu, pod kterým je podepsán mistr Axel Hermann. Troufám si tvrdit, že pokud jste starými, věrnými fanoušky kapely, budete určitě spokojeni jako já. Budete cítit fyzickou přítomnost smrti a budete se těšit na každé další společné setkání. Songy jsou napsány s jediným účelem. Zabít vás hudbou! The dead smell of decomposing carcasses. Bones, cracked by pressure and pain that hasn't gone away even after death. The vigil over the dead and the cremation to cleanse us of all evil. But sometimes that's not true. The evil man often remains, his heinous deeds damaging long after he's gone to the land of shadows. I wake up very early and see ghosts among the trees again. I'm listening to the new album by Japanese doom death metallers COFFINS and I feel like I'm enveloped in a black, bloody fog. This is a band that has a great gift for killing with their music.

There's a foul stench between the songs. Worms crawl out of their guts and skulls have a blank stare. The air is filled with the accusation of all those who are still a little bit alive. I dare say that this legend lived up to its name this year. They can be counted on. The band must have spent the five long years since the release of the previous record deep underground. In the endless catacombs where they've gathered inspiration. Bad and ugly thoughts were transferred by means of an excellent, massive and thunderous sound (which is so typical for this pack) to the music carrier. The result is a drenching cocktail that, if you devour it, you will die in endless convulsions.


The album imprinted itself on my thoughts like a bad prayer, like a mark. I liked going back to each song. Best when it was dark outside and the door to the afterlife was open. COFFINS doesn't change much and that's a very good thing. You can be sure again that the gentlemen have delivered their typical routines. Their style is honed to perfection. Locked in long abandoned tombs, we sway to the rhythm of sombre melodies. We haven't seen the light in a long time. The long shadows of the undead creep past, their elongated faces full of sorrow, sadness and suffering. This is where "Sinister Oath" belongs, in the old coffins, among the rotting bodies, among the damned. Listen carefully, be lulled by the morbid rhythm. The new record will crawl around you like a ball of violently venomous snakes at first. This band has a distinct and unique signature, an original expression that you will recognize within the first few notes. The gentlemen are in very good form on the new album. I enjoyed sifting the dust of my ancestors through my fingers with the band. Crushing old bones, breaking them and carving them into ritual amulets. I must also mention the cool motif on the cover, signed by master Axel Hermann. I dare to say that if you are an old, loyal fan of the band, you will definitely be as satisfied as I am. You'll feel the physical presence of death and look forward to every reunion. The songs are written with one purpose. To kill you with music!
