Některá místa v sobě mají krvavý otisk. Zrovna zde, daleko na severu, cítím bolest a slyším nářek obětí. Kolem jsou hluboké temné lesy a moje duše se ztrácí ve vzpomínkách. Na starý metal, který byl hrán od srdce. Zrovna poslouchám norské speed black metalisty PHANTOM FIRE a nasávám pach krve. Vracím se po časové ose zpět, někam na přelom osmdesátých a devadesátých let minulého století. Oheň zase hoří jasným plamenem a Smrt tančí se Satanem.
Já vím, v dnešní době je kolem spousta různých retro kapel, které neumějí moc hrát. Jejich muzika je plná póz a hudbu jim vůbec nevěřím. PHANTOM FIRE jsou ale jiní, odlišní. Svoje skladby sice stavějí na známých pevných black speed metalových základech, ale často jdou ještě dále do historie. Ano, heavy metal, počátek všeho. Riffy ohlodané na kost, surový, "nepříjemný" vokál. Zbývá už jenom vykopat další hrob a exhumovat mrtvolu.
Dejte mi někdo pivo a přidejte hlasitost. Jsem starej pes, co poslouchá metal přes třicet let. Hlavu už zvedám jen v případě, když mě muzika opravdu zaujme. Líbí se mi, že jsou skladby ohlodány na kost. Mají zajímavé motivy, spoustu momentů, u kterých si podupávám nohou a s chutí tančím na vlastním hrobě. Máte rádi smečky jako CONDOR, TOXIC DEATH, DEATHHAMMER, EVOKE? Případně pradávné black metalové skupiny a samozřejmě MOTOROHEAD a VENOM, kteří jsou do tvorby těchto maniaků také otištěni? Jděte do toho! Nakonec je vlastně úplně jedno, z jakých kapel PHANTOM FIRE čerpají. Pro mě je stejně nejdůležitější, že v sobě mají songy drive a sílu. Prastarou temnou energii. Potkávám stíny nemrtvých, toulám se podsvětím a poslouchám už jenom hudbu, co mám rád. K albu "Eminente Lucifer Libertad" jsem se rád a často vracel. Přikovalo mě na zeď. Stejně jednou nakonec všichni skončíme v pekle. Abych pravdu řekl, tak už se těším. Pokud tam totiž budou hrát skupiny, jako jsou PHANTOM FIRE, bude to pořádný masakr a oslava. Tahle nahrávka je určena pro všechny maniaky, kteří pamatují nebo uctívají zlatou éru metalu, kdy se na nějakou tu špínu nekoukalo. Žádné pózy, žádné zbytečnosti. Jenom poctivá zabijácká práce, která smrdí sírou. Už jsem vám jednou říkal, dejte mi další pivo. Musím se napít a zavřít za sebou víko od rakve. Satan se usmívá! I know, there are a lot of different retro bands around these days that don't know how to play much. Their music is full of posturing and I don't trust their music at all. But PHANTOM FIRE are different, distinct. Although they build their songs on the known solid black speed metal foundations, they often go even further back in history. Yes, heavy metal, the beginning of everything. Riffs gnawed to the bone, raw, "unpleasant" vocals. All that's left is to dig another grave and exhume the corpse.
Somebody get me a beer and turn up the volume. I'm an old dog who's been listening to metal for over 30 years. I only raise my head anymore if I'm really into the music. I like the fact that the songs are chewed to the bone. They have interesting themes, lots of moments that make me tap my foot and dance on my own grave with gusto. Do you like bands like CONDOR, TOXIC DEATH, DEATHHAMMER, EVOKE? Possibly ancient black metal bands and of course MOTOROHEAD and VENOM, who are also imprinted in the work of these maniacs? Go for it! In the end, it doesn't really matter what bands PHANTOM FIRE draws from. For me, the most important thing anyway is that the songs have drive and power in them. Ancient dark energy. I meet the shadows of the undead, I wander the underworld and I only listen to music I like anymore. I've come back to the album "Eminente Lucifer Libertad" a lot. It's been my wall. We're all gonna end up in hell one day anyway. To be honest, I'm looking forward to it. Because if bands like PHANTOM FIRE are playing there, it's going to be one hell of a massacre and celebration. This record is for all the maniacs who remember or worship the golden era of metal, when some of that filth wasn't looked down upon. No posing, no uselessness. Just honest killer work that reeks of brimstone. I told you once before, give me another beer. I need to drink and close the lid of the coffin behind me. Satan is smiling! Black speed heavy metal ride straight to hell!
