Stejně si myslím, že museli být staří bohové napojení na vesmír. To jenom lidská mysl nedokázala pochopit jejich činy. Někdy bývali pěkně krutí, jindy zase vznešení. Nejhorší, co se vám může stát je, když mlčí. Mají kamenné tváře a nejste hodni jejich odpovědi. Jaká bude naše budoucnost? Možná se jednou oprostíme od zbytečných válek, krutosti a lží a začneme žít v symbióze mezi sebou. Do života nám bude zasahovat umělá inteligence, ale budeme se mít lépe. To si myslí řečtí DEPHOSPHORUS i M. Banks ve své knize The Utopie.

Řečtí death grind black metaloví mágové přicházejí se svým již pátým dlouhohrajícím albem, které je plné zajímavých vizí, neotřelých nápadů a hlavně hudby, která má v sobě temnou vesmírnou sílu. Novinka je hodně naléhavým, propracovaným, neklidným albem. Je také záležitostí pro všechny, co mají rádi sci-fi knížky a nedělá jim problém při poslechu trošku přemýšlet. "Planetoktonos" je nahrávkou, která se mi ihned zařízla hluboko do masa.

„Planetoktonos“ je řecké slovo, které kapela vymyslela a zhruba se překládá jako „zabiják planet“. Album má syrový, masivní, dobře čitelný zvuk (nahráváno v Ignite studiu, masterováno Jamesem Plotkinem). Za velmi povedený považuji i obal (artwork - designed by Graphic No Jutsu), který je volně inspirováno románovou sérií The Expanse od Jamese S.A. Coreyho, vesmírem blízké budoucnosti, kde lidstvo kolonizovalo sluneční soustavu, ale čelí neznámým důsledkům setkání s mimozemskou inteligencí a technologiemi. Tolik promo materiály. Hlavní je ale jako vždy hudba a tu považuji také za velmi povedenou. Připadám si jako starý veterán, vesmírný kosmonaut, který se vrací po mnoha světelných letech zpátky na Zem. Soundtrackem k mé cestě je právě nové album "Planetoktonos". Viděl jsem ve vesmíru tolik zla i dobra, tolik ničení i budování, že už chci mít jenom svůj klid. Dívám se na hvězdy a pomalu přidávám hlasitost. Tahle smečka divokých astronautů moc dobře ví, co a jak chce hrát. Umí napsat skvělé motivy, přenést do skladeb temnotu, strach i naději. Zpočátku se možná budete muset trošku víc soustředit, nahrávka rozhodně není záležitost na jedno použití. Chce to více společných setkání, klid a čistou oblohu. Teprve potom vám pronikne přímo do krve. Někteří z nás stále bojují s novými technologiemi, neumí je přijmout, vstřebat. Stále platí ale více než kdy jindy, že přežijí jenom ti silní. Vědí to DEPHOSPHORUS a věděli to i staří bohové. Záleží nakonec jen na nás, jestli budeme nejdřív přemýšlet nebo rovnou bojovat. Nové album je jako staré sci-fi příběhy. Propracované, děsivé, šílené, náročné, divoké. Ve výsledku se velmi dobře poslouchá a předá vám spoustu energie. Death black grindcoreový průlet temným a tajemným vesmírem! Silný kosmický zážitek, propracované album, u kterého budete kolonizovat nové světy!

The worst thing that can happen to you is when they remain silent. They have stone faces and you are not worthy of their answers. What will our future be like? Perhaps one day we will free ourselves from unnecessary wars, cruelty, and lies and begin to live in symbiosis with each other. Artificial intelligence will interfere with our lives, but we will be better off. That's what Greek band DEPHOSPHORUS and M. Banks think in their book The Utopia.

The Greek death grind black metal magicians are back with their fifth full-length album, which is full of interesting visions, original ideas, and, above all, music that has a dark cosmic power. The new album is very urgent, sophisticated, and restless. It is also a must for anyone who likes sci-fi books and doesn't mind thinking a little while listening. "Planetoktonos" is a recording that immediately cut deep into my flesh.

"Planetoktonos" is a Greek word coined by the band, roughly translating as "planet killer." The album has a raw, massive, easily recognizable sound (recorded at Ignite Studio, mastered by James Plotkin). I also consider the cover (artwork designed by Graphic No Jutsu) to be very well done, loosely inspired by James S.A. Corey's novel series The Expanse, set in the near future, where humanity has colonized the solar system but faces the unknown consequences of encountering extraterrestrial intelligence and technologies. So much for the promotional materials. But as always, the main thing is the music, which I also consider to be very well done. I feel like an old veteran, a space astronaut returning to Earth after many light years. The soundtrack to my journey is the new album "Planetoktonos". I have seen so much evil and good in space, so much destruction and construction, that all I want now is peace and quiet. I look at the stars and slowly turn up the volume. This pack of wild astronauts knows very well what and how they want to play. They know how to write great themes, how to convey darkness, fear, and hope in their songs. At first, you may have to concentrate a little more, as this recording is definitely not a one-time listen. It requires more shared encounters, peace, and a clear sky. Only then will it penetrate your bloodstream. Some of us are still struggling with new technologies, unable to accept or absorb them. However, it is still true, more than ever, that only the strong will survive. DEPHOSPHORUS knows this, and the old gods knew it too. In the end, it is up to us whether we think first or fight right away. The new album is like old sci-fi stories. Sophisticated, terrifying, crazy, demanding, wild. The result is very enjoyable to listen to and will give you a lot of energy. A death black grindcore journey through a dark and mysterious universe! A powerful cosmic experience, a sophisticated album that will take you to colonize new worlds!
