Díváš se s nadějí k nebi a máš spoustu otázek. Odpověď nikdy nepřijde. Místo toho sleduješ kapky krve, připomínající temný déšť. Ranění andělé, pokousaní a polámaní od démonů. Sám uprostřed davu, touláš se ulicemi a potkáváš mrtvé tváře lidí. Poslední dobou to vypadá, že nad námi zlomil Bůh svoji hůl. Už nám nevěří nikdo, ani mi sami. Nedivím se, že má tolik lidí deprese. Zvláštní, o čem všem přemýšlím, když poslouchám novou desku slovenských funeral doom metalistů SAMSARA. Můžu si to dovolit. Novinka se stala na nějaký čas i mojí nedílnou součástí.

Je to k dokonalosti vybroušený, nejen stylový drahokam. Hudba, která budí převážně smutné a černé emoce. Nahrubo nasekaná tma, pokřivený obraz nás samých. Jakoby kapela vytáhla z mého podvědomí myšlenky, které měly být navěky ukryty. Utíkám zase jednou z ruchu a stereotypu všedních dní, zastavuji svoje kroky, abych nakonec spočinul v pokoji. Nové album doporučuji všem tmářům, všem, kteří nad hudbou přemýšlejí. 


Na téhle kapele se mi vždy líbil jejich jasný rukopis. Jsou sice volně inspirováni kapelami jako MY DYING BRIDE, AHAB, SHAPE OF DESPAIR, SCEPTICISM, ale zároveň mají spoustu vlastních, originálních nápadů. U tohoto stylu platí více, než kde jinde, že se musí hrát od srdce, opravdově, musí vám proniknout do žil, proměnit vaši krev v jemné krystalky ledu. SAMSARA tohle všechno umí a ještě přidávají něco navíc. Velký kus talentu, schopnosti napsat skladby, u kterých nedokážu být nikdy v klidu. Tohle je hudba, která se má poslouchat v hlubokých lesích, o samotě, v chladném a temném pokoji, ve starých chrámech a opuštěných kostelích. Je pro mě opět příjemné, po dlouhých sedmi letech, snížit tepovou frekvenci a nechat nové album "Charon's Lullaby" aby mě obejmulo jako síť z pavučin. Nevím, co bude následovat, až dobije mé srdce a budu převezen na druhý břeh, do země nekonečných stínů. Jistý jsem si ale s tím, že i tam budu novou desku poslouchat. Je totiž plná melodií, které jsou plné chladu, smutku, ale i naděje. Novinka má velmi dobrý zvuk, povedl se i obal (Dis-Art Design), po formální stránce bylo uděláno vše, aby byli fanoušci spokojeni. Jsou chvíle, kdy se potřebuji zastavit, nadechnout a uklidnit svoji duši. Právě v takových momentech vynikla síla této nahrávky nejvíce. Pokud máte tento styl rádi, mohu vám nové album rozhodně doporučit. SAMSARA jsou ve skvělé formě. Dívám se s nadějí k nebi a mám spoustu otázek. Odpověď nikdy nepřijde. You look up to the sky with hope and you have a lot of questions. The answer never comes. Instead, you watch drops of blood, reminiscent of dark rain. Wounded angels, bitten and broken by demons. Alone in the middle of the crowd, you wander the streets and meet the dead faces of people. Lately, it seems God has broken his rod over us. No one trusts us anymore, not even ourselves. No wonder so many people are depressed. It's strange what I think about when I listen to the new album of Slovak funeral doom metallers SAMSARA. I can afford it. The novelty has become an integral part of me for some time.

It's polished to perfection, not only a stylistic gem. Music that evokes mostly sad and black emotions. Roughly chopped darkness, a distorted image of ourselves. It's as if the band pulled out of my subconscious thoughts that should have been hidden forever. I escape once more from the hustle and bustle and stereotype of everyday life, halting my steps to finally rest in peace. I recommend the new album to all darkies, to all who think about music.


What I always liked about this band was their clear signature. While they are loosely inspired by bands like MY DYING BRIDE, AHAB, SHAPE OF DESPAIR, SCEPTICISM, they also have a lot of their own original ideas. With this style, more than anywhere else, it has to be played from the heart, really, it has to get into your veins, turn your blood into fine ice crystals. SAMSARA does all this and then some. A great deal of talent, the ability to write songs that I can never be at ease with. This is music to be listened to in deep forests, alone, in cold and dark rooms, in old temples and abandoned churches. It's nice for me again, after seven long years, to lower my heart rate and let the new album "Charon's Lullaby" embrace me like a web of cobwebs. I don't know what will follow when it recharges my heart and I am transported to the other shore, to the land of endless shadows. But I'm sure I'll be listening to the new record there too. For it is full of melodies that are full of coldness, sadness, but also hope. The new album has a very good sound, the cover art (Dis-Art Design) is very good, and everything has been done formally to make the fans happy. There are times when I need to stop, breathe and calm my soul. It's in those moments that the power of this record stood out the most. If you like this style, I can definitely recommend the new album. SAMSARA are in great shape. I look up to the sky with hope and have a lot of questions. The answer will never come. Čerstvě otevřená hrobka vydala další svědectví. Mrtvola, ležící uprostřed kamenného stolu, neměla žádnou rakev. Kolem byly nakresleny záhadné a tajemné symboly. Vzduchem se vznášel hnilobný pach a ještě něco dalšího, co  jsem zpočátku nedokázal identifikovat. Musel jsem si pustit novou, debutovou desku italských smrťáků THE TOMB. Ti jsou věrni až za hrob stylu, který se hrával v devadesátých letech minulého století. Stačilo několik prvních tónů, aby se tělo posadilo. Postava měla šílený pohled a já jsem věděl, že jsem zde správně.

Prokletý, ano byl kdysi dávno prokletý. Nemrtvý, toužící i po své smrti po čerstvé krvi. Pomalu přidávám hlasitost a užívám si starodávný, plesnivý zvuk. Povedl se i obal, pod kterým je podepsán Julian Felipe Mora Ibanez. Dveře do záhrobí byly otevřeny, stačí jen vstoupit. 


Pod THE TOMB jsou podepsáni dva zkušení muzikanti (Alessio Bucci - kytary a Alessandro Nunziati - zpěv). Je znát, že pánové moc dobře vědí, co a jak chtějí hrát. S ničím se moc nepářou a jdou rovnou na věc. Takovou hudbu jsem poslouchal jako mladý a zůstal jsem ji stále věrný. Až navěky, amen! Stylově lze přirovnat novinku k tomu nejlepšímu, co vytvořily kapely jako DEATH, MORGOTH, PESTILENCE, MASACRE, SOLSTICE. Zkrátka a dobře, stará škola, perfektně zahraná, s určitou přidanou hodnotou navíc. Album se poslouchá tak nějak samo, dovedu pochopit, že mám při poslechu neustálé nutkání vyrazit na blízký hřbitov, vykopat si tam nějakou mrtvolu. Třeba bych měl štěstí a narazil bych na prokletého kněze nebo nějakou krásnou zombie. "The Valley of Despair" je nahrávkou pro všechny staré maniaky, pro fanoušky, kteří mají rádi tradiční, klasické postupy. Píšu to často, pro tuhle muziku musíte mít talent, musíte v ní věřit a hrát ji srdcem. Musíte si dát pozor na dobrou produkci a vaše nápady musí pálit, řezat, musíte hnít zaživa. Tohle všechno Italové umí a přidávají ještě něco poctivého navíc. Víc tmy, víc chladu, víc pohřbů do země. Vždycky jsem měl rád na tomhle stylu takový ten smradlavý odér, hnilobu chcete-li. Zde jsem dostal pořádnou porci syrového, již trošku rozkládajícího se masa. Podáváno je samozřejmě na víku od rakve. Těším se, až se setmí. Vezmu si do rukou lopatu, nasadím si sluchátka a potom je to už jenom mezi mnou a samotnou Smrtí. Čerstvě otevřená hrobka vydala další svědectví. The freshly opened tomb gave further testimony. The corpse, lying in the middle of the stone table, had no coffin. Mysterious and enigmatic symbols were drawn around it. There was a putrid smell in the air and something else that I could not identify at first. I had to listen to the new debut album by Italian death metal band THE TOMB. They are true to the grave to the style that was played in the 90s. It only took the first few notes to make the body sit up. The character had a crazy look and I knew I was right there.

Cursed, yes he was cursed once upon a time. Undead, yearning even in death for fresh blood. I slowly turned up the volume, enjoying the ancient, musty sound. The cover artwork, signed by Julian Felipe Mora Ibanez, is also a success. The door to the afterlife has been opened, all you have to do is enter. 


THE TOMB is signed by two experienced musicians (Alessio Bucci - guitars and Alessandro Nunziati - vocals). It is clear that the gentlemen know very well what and how they want to play. They don't argue too much with anything and go straight to the point. This is the kind of music I listened to when I was young and I have remained loyal to it ever since. Forever and ever, amen! Stylistically, the new album can be compared to the best of bands like DEATH, MORGOTH, PESTILENCE, MASACRE, SOLSTICE. In short, old school, perfectly played, with some added value. The album kind of listens to itself, I can understand that while listening to it I have a constant urge to go to a nearby cemetery to dig up a dead body. Maybe I'd get lucky and stumble upon a cursed priest or some beautiful zombie. "The Valley of Despair" is a record for all the old geezers, for fans who like traditional, classic methods. I write this a lot, you have to have talent for this music, you have to believe in it and play it with your heart. You have to watch out for good production and your ideas have to burn, cut, you have to rot alive. The Italians can do all of that and add a little extra honesty. More darkness, more cold, more burying yourself in the ground. I've always liked the smelly smell, the rot, if you like. Here I got a good helping of raw, already a bit decomposing meat. Served on a coffin lid, of course. I'm looking forward to it getting dark. I pick up my shovel, put on my headphones, and then it's just between me and Death itself. Stojím před vchodem a přemýšlí, jestli vstoupit. Přivedly mě sem děsivé sny, ve kterých jsem potkával postavy bez hlavy, rozsápané na kusy. Budil jsem se uprostřed noci, abych nakonec skončil zde, ve staré jeskyni. Na stěnách jsou nakresleny podivné symboly a v kostech se mi usadil chlad. Moc dobře vím, že někde hluboko v podzemí se ukrývají bestie. Šílená, krvelačná monstra, která touží pouze po tom, aby vás zabila. Poslouchám novou desku amerických tmářů PURULENCY a moc dobře vím, že vstoupím dovnitř.

Otevírám rezavou bránu a nasávám pach smrti. Prašivina, hniloba, vybělené kosti. Přesně takový death metal jsem měl vždy rád a pánové jej předkládají s morbidním nadšením. Věřím jim každý tón, každý motiv. Jedná se o na kost ohlodanou hudbu, u které shnijete zaživa. Nechte se pohltit nekonečnými močály záhrobní říše. 


Máte rádi kapely DEMILICH, ABHORRENCE, DEMIGOD? Procházíte se rádi a často mezi čerstvě exhumovanými hroby? Tak potom neváhejte a narvěte si nové album "Transcendent Unveiling Of Dimensions" pod tlakem do hlavy. Je po okraj narvané špínou, odkazy na H.P. Lovercrafta. Jedná se o děsivý, hororový materiál, který se bude líbit všem, kteří mají rádi klasický, tradiční smrtící kov a jeho temnou a šílenou atmosféru. Budete se bát vlastního stínu, budete se lekat světla. Prokletí, zavržení, ponížení. Ano, novinka má skvělý zvuk, obal, povedlo se vlastně vše, co je potřeba, aby byla správně provedena záhrobní mše. Prosévám mezi prsty prach, jako to dělám pokaždé, když se mi nějaká hudba dostane hluboko pod kůži. Jakoby tahle smečka vzala všechny mé noční můry, zamíchala je se shnilými kousky masa a podávala na víku od rakve. Skladby jsou velmi dobře napsány, mají v sobě potřebnou sílu a drive. Jsem moc rád, že jsem se vzbudil uprostřed noci, že jsem za sebou zanechal současný divný svět a vydal se na druhou stranu. Moc dobře totiž vím, že PURULENCY mi budou velmi dobrými průvodci za řekou Styx. Novou desku nelze jinak, než doporučit všem fanouškům absolutní tmy, démonům i prokletým. Kývám se spokojeně do rytmu, s chutí znovu a znovu otevírám rezavou bránu. Tohle je totální masakr v márnici, velmi návyková záležitost. Stojím před vchodem a přemýšlí, jestli vstoupit. I'm standing at the entrance, wondering whether to enter. I was brought here by terrifying dreams in which I met headless figures, torn to pieces. I'd wake up in the middle of the night, only to end up here, in an old cave. Strange symbols painted on the walls and a chill settled in my bones. I know very well that somewhere deep underground, beasts hide. Mad, bloodthirsty monsters who only want to kill you. I'm listening to the new album by American darkies PURULENCY and I know very well that I'm going to step inside.

I open the rusty gates and suck in the smell of death. Dust, rot, bleached bones. This is exactly the kind of death metal I have always liked and the gentlemen present it with morbid enthusiasm. I trust every note, every motive. This is bone-biting music that makes you rot alive. Let yourself be engulfed by the endless swamps of the afterlife.


Do you like the bands DEMILICH, ABHORRENCE, DEMIGOD? Do you like to walk often among freshly exhumed graves? Then don't hesitate to cram the new album "Transcendent Unveiling Of Dimensions" under pressure into your head. It's packed to the brim with filth, references to H.P. Lovercraft. This is eerie, horror material that will appeal to anyone who enjoys classic, traditional death metal and its dark and insane atmosphere. You will be afraid of your own shadow, you will be scared of the light. Damnation, damnation, humiliation. Yes, the novelty has a great sound, the cover, everything that is needed for a properly performed death mass. I sift the dust between my fingers, as I do every time a piece of music gets deep under my skin. It's like this pack took all my nightmares, mixed them with rotten bits of meat, and served them on a coffin lid. The songs are very well written and have the necessary power and drive. I'm so glad I woke up in the middle of the night, that I left the current strange world behind and made my way to the other side. I know very well that PURULENCY will be a very good guide for me to the river Styx. I can't but recommend the new album to all fans of absolute darkness, demons and the damned. I sway contentedly to the beat, eager to open the rusty gate again and again. This is total carnage in the morgue, a very addictive affair. I stand at the entrance, wondering whether to enter. Ave ETERNAL! Greetings to the underground. I hope everything is fine with you. It should be because this year you have released a first long-play full-length album in your band's career. I have to admit it has literally blown my mind. It is dark, energic and as if it cuts by the sharp edge of the knife. I can hear from the record you did a really good job and you added a big portion of the talent, too. How do you perceive the new album in comparison to the previous records? Where did you want to move and in what are these two records different?

With this full length we finally found our sound and style and were able to make a better well rounded product than before. We went through alot of lineup changes since our inception including current members playing different instruments but this time we have found ourselves as a unit and it shows compared to our other releases.


„Cryptic Lust“ includes all attributes of good death metal. For me personally, it represents the record, which I really like to listen to. How did you produce it? How look the writing process of new material in the case of ETERNAL?

The writing process was simple. We would come up with a part or section that we wanted to be the foundation of the song and we would compliment it added other riffs and sections and in turn making a better foundational riff or section than the original. We tried to incorporate Swedish and Florida style death metal together in the same track to keep things fresh as well.

I have to confirm that the sound literally kills. It keeps making me turn up the volume on the hi-fi tower. The sound is harsh, raw and dark and animalistic at the same time. Who's behind it? What studio did you record in and how did everything go?

We recorded the album ourselves at our drummer Xander Bridges' place. The kid is a Wiz and was able to give us the exact mix we were looking for.

I have been wandering the underground for over thirty years and I still go to Arizona for music with certainty. I think we have a similar nature and taste when it comes to metal. I like your bands a lot and I monitor your scene carefully. Maybe I envy you a little, because we only have a few death metal bands that are worth it. How do you explain that death metal are doing so well in your country? How do you perceive your scene, fans, labels?

The Arizona death metal movement is thriving and doing well. There's alot of really great bands. We had a strong scene but at the end of covid we had an emergence of a whole new wave of bands that grew it even more.


You play death metal influenced by, among other things, the old school. Today, the band can't avoid comparisons, but I would like to know how the idea to start ETERNAL was born, who was and is your metal idol? Where do you want to move your band? Are you attracted to large foreign festivals, for example, are you willing to go on tour with a more famous band?

Our biggest inspiration at the band's inception and still is Death. The European and southamerican festivals look incredible and we hope for the opportunity to play one someday. We also would love the opportunity to tour with a famous band and grow our audience.

How do you approach the promotion of your music? Do you rely upon the label or do you send the CDs for various reviews by yourself? Forexample, I buy albums that I really enjoy. What about you? Are you also fans who often support your colleagues? Do you go to concerts?

We try to promote our music online the best we can to grow our audience. I also like to buy physical media from artists I enjoy, especially underground bands. I love to support our fellow local bands and try to attend as many local and national shows as I can.

On the one hand, today the new band has a lot of opportunities to make themselves more known, but on the other hand, there are a huge number of groups and the fans are getting lost in this big metal sea. A lot of people just download mp3s from the internet and instead of to visit the concert they prefer to spit poisonous saliva on Facebook. How do modern technologies affect you as ETERNAL? What do you think about downloading music, google metalists, streaming music, etc.?

I think that the internet has given us the opportunity to have a global audience and with that comes the negatives you mentioned. I Think that the positives outweigh the neatives and that aslong as our music is getting to people that want to enjoy it I'm ok with them downloading it for free.


I like to ask the musicians what death metal means to them. How would they define it, whether it is more the philosophy and lifestyle thing for them or "just" relaxation? What does it mean for you? How do you perceive and experience it?

For me Death metal is an outlet to express myself in a way that I can't within social norms. Music in general is a huge part of my life and it's not something I think about, it's just there like breathing.

Finally, a classic but important question. What is ETERNAL planning in the upcoming months? Where can we see you at the stage and when will you visit the Europe?

In the next few months we will be touring the West Coast of the United States and we hope to visit Europe soon someday!

Ave ETERNAL! Zdravím do undergroundu. Doufám, že je u vás vše v pořádku. Mělo by, máte na kontě letos první dlouhohrající skvělé album své kariéry. Musím se přiznat, že mě doslova přikovalo na zeď. Je temné, energické, řeže ostrou hranou nože. Je hodně slyšet, že jste odvedli skvělou práci a taky velká porce talentu. Jak vnímáš novou desku v souvislosti s vašimi předešlými nahrávkami? Kam jak jste se chtěli posunout a v čem jsou podle tebe nahrávky odlišné?

S touto dlouhohrající deskou jsme konečně našli svůj zvuk a styl a byli jsme schopni vytvořit lepší a ucelenější produkt než dříve. Od našeho vzniku jsme prošli mnoha změnami v sestavě, včetně současných členů hrajících na různé nástroje, ale tentokrát jsme se našli jako celek a je to vidět ve srovnání s našimi ostatními nahrávkami.


„Cryptic Lust“ v sobě obsahuje všechny atributy dobrého death metalu. Pro mě osobně se jedná o desku, ke které se hrozně rád vracím. Jakým způsobem vznikala? Jak skládají nový materiál ETERNAL?

Proces psaní byl jednoduchý. Vymysleli jsme část nebo úsek, který jsme chtěli, aby byl základem písně, a doplnili jsme ho dalšími riffy a úseky, čímž jsme vytvořili lepší základní riff nebo úsek než původní. Snažili jsme se do jedné skladby zakomponovat švédský a floridský styl death metalu, aby to bylo také svěží.

Musím potvrdit, že zvuk doslova zabíjí. Pořád mě to nutí na hi-fi věži přidávat volume. Zvuk je krutý, surový a zároveň temný a živočišný. Kdo je pod ním podepsán? V jakém studiu jste nahrávali a jak vše probíhalo?

Album jsme nahrávali sami u našeho bubeníka Xandera Bridgese. Ten kluk je čaroděj a dokázal nám namíchat přesně takový mix, jaký jsme hledali.

Toulám se podsvětím již přes třicet let a do Arizona si chodím pro muziku vlastně na jistotu. Myslím, že máme podobnou náturu i vkus, co se týká metalu. Mám vaše kapely hodně rád a pečlivě sleduji vaši scénu. Možná vám i trošku závidím, my máme u nás jen pár death metalových smeček, které stojí za to. Čím si to vysvětluješ, že zrovna u vás se death metalu tolik daří? Jak vnímáš vaši scénu, fanoušky, labely?

Arizonské death metalové hnutí vzkvétá a daří se mu. Je zde spousta opravdu skvělých kapel. Měli jsme silnou scénu, ale na konci covidu se objevila úplně nová vlna kapel, která ji ještě více rozrostla.


Hrajete death metal ovlivněný starou školou. Dnes se vlastně kapela nemůže vyhnout srovnání, mě by ale zajímalo, jak vlastně vznikl nápad založit ETERNAL, kdo byl a je vaším vzorem a kam vaši kapelu chcete posunout? Lákají vás třeba velké zahraniční festivaly, jste ochotni vyrazit na turné s nějakou slavnější smečkou?

Naší největší inspirací v době vzniku kapely a stále je Death. Evropské a jihoamerické festivaly vypadají neuvěřitelně a my doufáme, že budeme mít možnost si na některém z nich někdy zahrát. Taky bychom rádi měli příležitost vyjet na turné s nějakou slavnou kapelou a rozšířit si tak publikum.

Když jsem před sedmi lety zakládal svoje stránky, měl jsem vizi, že se budu snažit podporovat kapely, které podle mě nejsou tolik na očích. Dát o nich vědět světu. Myslím, že se mi to celkem daří, alespoň podle ohlasů. Jak přistupujete k propagaci vy? Necháváte to na labelu nebo sami posíláte CD různě na recenze? Já si třeba alba, která mě opravdu baví, kupuji. Jak jste na tom vy? Jste také fanoušci, co rádi a často podporují své kolegy? Chodíte na koncerty? Paříte?

Snažíme se propagovat naši hudbu online, jak nejlépe umíme, abychom rozšířili naše publikum. Rád si také kupuji fyzické nosiče od umělců, které mám rád, zejména od undergroundových kapel. Rád podporuji naše místní kapely a snažím se navštěvovat co nejvíce místních i celostátních koncertů.

Na jednou stranu má dnes začínající kapela spoustu možností, jak o sobě dát vědět, ale zase na druhou stranu, skupin je obrovské množství a fanoušci se v nich ztrácejí. Hodně lidí jen stahuje mp3 z internetu a místo koncertu raději plive jedovaté sliny na facebooku. Jak vás, jako ETERNAL ovlivňují moderní technologie? Co si myslíš o stahování muziky, google metalistech, streamování muziky apod.?

Myslím, že internet nám dal příležitost mít celosvětové publikum a s tím přicházejí i negativa, která jste zmínil. Myslím, že pozitiva převažují nad negativy a že pokud se naše hudba dostane k lidem, kteří si ji chtějí užít, nevadí mi, že si ji stahují zdarma.


S oblibou se ptám muzikantů na to, co pro ně znamená death metal. Jak by jej definovali, jestli je pro ně spíše filozofií a životním stylem nebo „jen“ relaxem. Co znamená pro tebe? Jak jej vnímáš a prožíváš?

Death metal je pro mě možnost vyjádřit se způsobem, který mi společenské normy neumožňují. Hudba obecně je obrovskou součástí mého života a není to něco, o čem bych přemýšlel, je to jako dýchání.

Na závěr klasická, ale důležitá otázka. Co chystají ETERNAL v nejbližších měsících? Kde vás můžeme vidět na koncertě a kdy navštívíte Evropu?

V příštích měsících nás čeká turné po západním pobřeží Spojených států a doufáme, že se někdy podíváme i do Evropy!

Mrtvolné pohledy. Vnitřnosti hnijící zaživa. Vyprahlá zem, kostry, ležící kolem jako nějaké děsivé loutky. Démoni krmení nenávistí a ďábelskou hudbou. Už to nebude dlouho trvat a přejdu na druhou stranu. Ještě několik posledních okamžiků. Ostrá čepel, pomalu zajíždějící do mého břicha. Tohle je válka s nebem, která má jasného vítěze. Temnotu. Absolutní hudební zlo, špína a hnis, který odkapává ze skladeb, jako nějaké černé svědomí. Nemrtví si šeptají mezi sebou - HERESIARCH se vrátili se svým druhým dlouhohrajícím albem.

Opět je po okraj narvané nahrubo nasekanými riffy, podmanivě divokou atmosférou, smrtí, black metalem i grindovou agresivitou. Nic pro slabé povahy, spíše se jedná o pokrm, po kterém se udusíte, oběsíte nebo si podřežete žíly. Poslouchám novinku už nějaký čas a připadám si prokletý, zničený, pohřbený.


Žádné kompromisy, žádné slitování. Jenom zničující tsunami riffů, chorobami nasáklý vokál a šílená atmosféra spálené země. V hudbě téhle smečky je něco barbarského, primitivního, ortodoxního. Přesto jsou skladby velmi pestré, zajímavé a pořád se v nich něco děje. Ostrý, masivní a zároveň čitelný zvuk přidává všemu na uvěřitelnosti. Radost pohledět je i na obal, který je plný utrpení. Perfektně se k předkládané hudbě hodí. Jako bych sestupoval v nějaké dávno opuštěné jeskyni dolů, do žhnoucího podzemí. Pánové mají svůj rukopis, výraz, svůj vlastní ksicht. Pro fanoušky třeba takových DIOCLETIAN, BESTIAL WARLUST, REVENGE, PSEUDOGOD, PROCLAMATION, GRAVE MIASMA, ARCHGOAT, IGNIVOMOUS, LVCIFYRE, WITCHRIST, TEITANBLOOD, IMPETUOUS RITUAL, je novinka doslova povinností. Pokud máte rádi nepropustné hlukové stěny, které na vás spadnou a rozmačkají vás, potom neváhejte ani chvilku. Zároveň, a to se mi hodně líbí, není deska žádnou záležitostí na pár poslechů. Naopak, chce čas, klid, tmu, chlad a teprve po nějakém čase naplno vynikne její síla. Musíte věřit ve zlo, v blasfemii a potom budete odměněni velmi krásným a morbidním zážitkem. Kapela je jako smečka rozzuřených psů, která hlídá vstup do podzemí. Předtím, než vstoupíte do jejich říše, tak vás svojí hudbou roztrhají na kusy. Jedná se o velmi temnou, syrovou, pradávnou záležitost. Při poslechu se dostanete až ke krvavým kořenům extrémního metalu. Uvědomíte si, že peklo opravdu existuje. Mrtvolné pohledy. Vnitřnosti hnijící zaživa. Vyprahlá zem, kostry, ležící kolem jako nějaké děsivé loutky. Démoni krmení nenávistí a ďábelskou hudbou. Už to nebude dlouho trvat a přejdu na druhou stranu. Zuřivé, nenávistné black death metalové inferno! Negace všeho dobrého, zničující atak ze samotného záhrobí!

It fits perfectly with the music presented. It's like descending down into some long-abandoned cave, into the glowing underground. The gentlemen have their own signature, their own expression, their own face. For the fans of such bands as DIOCLETIAN, BESTIAL WARLUST, REVENGE, PSEUDOGOD, PROCLAMATION, GRAVE MIASMA, ARCHGOAT, IGNIVOMOUS, LVCIFYRE, WITCHRIST, TEITANBLOOD, IMPETUOUS RITUAL, the novelty is literally a must. If you like impenetrable walls of noise that fall on you and crush you, then don't hesitate a moment. At the same time, and I like this a lot, the album is not a matter of a few listens. On the contrary, it takes time, calm, darkness, coldness and only after some time its power will fully emerge. You have to believe in evil, in blasphemy, and then you will be rewarded with a very beautiful and morbid experience. The band is like a pack of rabid dogs guarding the entrance to the underground. Before you enter their realm, they tear you apart with their music. It's a very dark, raw, ancient thing. Listening to it, you will get to the bloody roots of extreme metal. You'll realize that hell really does exist. Dead stares. Guts rotting alive. Scorched earth, skeletons lying around like some kind of horrific puppet. Demons fed on hatred and evil music. It won't be long now before I cross over to the other side. A furious, hateful black death metal inferno! The negation of all that is good, a devastating attack from beyond the grave!

Jsem už dlouhé roky ochutnávačem, gurmánem, který se toulá záhrobím. Píšu už jen o hudbě, která mě nějakým způsobem zaujme, dostane se mi pod kůži. Nejsem nikde organizovaný, ani nikomu zodpovědný. Nové album LVME mi přišlo na recenzi již někdy na začátku letošního roku. Vracel jsem se k němu mnohokrát, sedával jsem dlouho do noci a přemýšlel jsem, co o něm napsat. Nějak podvědomě jsem věděl, že moje slova nestačí, že popsat jejich hudbu pro mě bude náročné.

Dnes nastal ten čas, uzrál, jako dobře uleželá mrtvola. Sedl jsem si velmi brzo ráno, pustil si do reproduktorů nové album "Of Sinful Nature" a najednou jsem byl daleko v lese, na starém pohřebišti. Kolem mě nebyla ani jedna živá duše. Zato těch mrtvých se toulalo mezi hroby spousta. Tohle je black metal, který jde až ke svým krvavým kořenům. 


LVME jsou vznešení a majestátní, ale i živočišní a syroví. Hrají přesně tím uvěřitelným způsobem, který mám tolik rád. Nikde nic nepřebývá, nikde nic nechybí. Základem je klasický, chladný a temný zvuk. Jakoby se moje prokletá duše vznášela mezi stíny nemrtvých. Máte rádi kapely jako DEATHSPELL OMEGA, FUNERAL MIST, NIGHTBRINGER, VERBERIS, BLADE OF PERDITION, nebo staré MAYHEM? Potom jste zde správně. Moje přirovnání ale berte s rezervou, tahle smečka je svým způsobem originální, má vlastní výraz i ksicht. Skladby jsou opravdu napsány takovým tím starodávným způsobem, přesto jsou svěží a zajímavé. Těžko se to popisuje, ale je to něco podobného, jako když se vydáte daleko do lesa, samotní. Najednou uslyšíte zvuky, které jindy nevnímáte. Zpočátku to opravdu není lehký poslech. Nové album "Of Sinful Nature" chce čas, soustředění a mnoho společných setkání. Teprve až potom vám pronikne do žil. A stane se pro vás drogou, závislostí, jako pro mě. Slyším, že se za okny zvedá vítr. To jsou démoni, kteří mě zvou, abych se s nimi vydal na další cestu. Nikdy nevím, jestli nebude tou poslední. Ne, dnes ještě ne. Našlapuji do rytmu jednotlivých skladeb, užívám si mrazivé melodie, nechávám si drtit svoje kosti údery bicích. Vše tu sedí perfektně v jednom celku. Novinka je velmi naléhavým albem. Je jako jedovatý had, který vás uhrane svým pohledem. Necháte se raději uštknout, než abyste přestali poslouchat. Nelze jinak, než nahrávku pochválit a doporučit ji všem, kteří ještě k hudbě přistupují opravdově, kteří mají rádi bolest ledového větru ve své tváři. Nespoutaná, mrazivá, temná black metalová energie, načerpaná na starých pohřebištích! Návrat ke krvavým kořenům!

I have been a taster for many years, a gourmet who wanders the beyond. I only write about music that somehow catches my attention, gets under my skin. I'm not organized or accountable to anyone. I received the new LVME album for review sometime earlier this year. I went back to it many times, sitting up late into the night thinking about what to write about it. Somehow, subconsciously, I knew that my words were not enough, that describing their music would be difficult for me.

Today the time has come, it has ripened, like a well-laid corpse. I sat down very early in the morning, put the new album "Of Sinful Nature" on the speakers and suddenly I was far away in the woods, in an old burial ground. There wasn't a living soul around me. But there were plenty of the dead wandering among the graves. This is black metal that goes to its bloody roots. 


LVME are noble and majestic, but also animalistic and raw. They play in that believable way that I love so much. Nothing is missing, nothing is missing anywhere. The basis is a classic, cold and dark sound. It's as if my cursed soul is floating among the shadows of the undead. Do you like bands like DEATHSPELL OMEGA, FUNERAL MIST, NIGHTBRINGER, VERBERIS, BLADE OF PERDITION or old MAYHEM? Then you are here right. But take my comparison with a grain of salt, this pack is original in its own way, it has its own expression and face. The songs are really written in that old-timey way, yet they are fresh and interesting. It's hard to describe, but it's something like going far into the woods, alone. Suddenly you hear sounds that you don't otherwise notice. It's really not easy listening at first. The new album "Of Sinful Nature" takes time, concentration and many meetings together. Only then will it penetrate your veins. And it becomes a drug for you, an addiction, like it did for me. I can hear the wind rising outside the windows. These are demons inviting me to go on another journey with them. I never know if it won't be the last. No, not today. I stomp to the rhythm of each song, enjoying the chilling melodies, letting the drum beats crush my bones. Everything fits together perfectly here. The new album is very urgent. It's like a venomous snake that will catch your eye. You'd rather be bitten than stop listening. I can't help but praise the record and recommend it to anyone who still takes a real approach to music, who likes the pain of an icy wind in their face. Unbridled, frosty, dark black metal energy, picked up in old graveyards! A return to their bloody roots!

Byl jsem jako on. Už dlouhé roky trávím na starých hřbitovech. Jsem stínem, který se mihne v mlze, když se pohřbívá do země. Znám příběhy všech zemřelých. Některé převádím na druhou stranu. Jsem ghúlem, bytostí z jiného světa. Pro některé zrůdou, pro jiné děsivým svědomím. Existují kapely, které se mnou dokáží rozmlouvat. Legendární švédští death metalisté SARCASM patří mezi ně. Letos přicházejí se svojí pátou dlouhohrající deskou. Je opět velmi chladná, temná, záhadná. Je po okraj narvaná melodiemi, které rozdrásají vaši duši do krve.

Není žádným tajemstvím, že jsem velkým fanouškem téhle smečky. Důkazem budiž recenze a rozhovor, které jsou odkazovány dole pod článkem. Líbí se mi, že i letos se kapela vyvíjí, mění, že dokáže zaujmout. Základem je stále severský kov smrti, ale přidávány jsou další a další prvky extrémního metalu. A to velmi vkusně a elegantně. Vychutnat si tak můžete až doomové pasáže, kousky black metalu a nebál bych se napsat i progresivity. Výsledkem je velmi chutný koktejl, který když pozřete, tak budete moci rozmlouvat se mnou, starým ghúlem, i se samotnou smrtí. 


Letošní album "Mourninghoul" je mocné, majestátní, ale i velmi záhadné a tajemné. Jakoby bylo celé zahalené do černé mlhy, kterou všichni známe právě ze starých pohřebišť. Procházejí se v ní přízraky. Myslím si, že by se jim novinka téhle kapely mohla také líbit. Mohu vám podepsat vlastní krví, že pro fanoušky (a nejen pro ně) téhle kapely bylo učiněno absolutně vše. SARCASM jsou originální, mají svůj jasně rozpoznatelný rukopis. Stačí několik prvních tónů a ihned vím, o koho se jedná. S novou deskou jsem spokojený ale i po formální stránce. Pod velmi povedeným obalem je podepsán Armaada ART. Co se týká zvuku, tak je velmi chladný, křišťálově bolestivý a ihned se vám zadře pod kůži (Lawrence Mackrory - mixing, mastering). Měl bych napsat i nějakou kritiku, jenže mě žádná nenapadá. Vypadá to, že jsme si i nadále s kapelou souzeni. Je i mým osudem. Nejvíce se mi osvědčil poslech velmi brzy ráno, když ještě slunce čekalo na svoji cestu. Chodívám kolem hřbitova. Pokaždé jsem měl pocit, že u jedné staré hrobky sedí pradávná příšera. Její oči žhnuly do tmy a šeptala zvrácená slova a o smrti, bolesti a utrpení. Moje fantazie pracuje na sto procent. Jdu spolu s ghúlem na vysokou horu, vznášíme se v oblacích, sledujeme stále bloudící lidský rod. Padáme nakonec do hlubiny, abychom se roztříštili na tisíc kousků. Je to pro mě důkaz, potvrzení, že se nové album opravdu povedlo. Má v sobě totiž absolutně vše, co od dobrých nahrávek požaduji. Jasný směr, spoustu skvělých nápadů i podmanivou atmosféru plnou tmy a chladu. Jsem jako on. Už dlouhé roky trávím na starých hřbitovech. Jsem stínem, který se mihne v mlze, když se pohřbívá do země. Znám příběhy všech zemřelých. Některé převádím na druhou stranu. Jsem ghúlem, bytostí z jiného světa. Pro některé zrůdou, pro jiné děsivým svědomím. Majestátní, mocný severský death metal, který vás převede na druhou stranu, do země nekonečných stínů! Temnota a chlad!

Some of them I'm bringing to the other side. I am a ghoul, a being from another world. To some a monster, to others a terrifying conscience. There are bands that can talk to me. Legendary Swedish death metallers SARCASM are one of them. This year they come with their fifth full-length album. It is again very cold, dark, mysterious. It's packed to the brim with melodies that will rip your soul to blood.

It's no secret that I'm a big fan of this pack. For proof, check out the review and interview linked at the bottom of the article. I love that even this year the band is evolving, changing, and managing to impress. The base is still Nordic death metal, but more and more elements of extreme metal are added. And in a very tasteful and elegant way. So you can enjoy up to doom passages, bits of black metal and I wouldn't be afraid to write even progressiveness. The result is a very tasty cocktail, which if you watch, you will be able to talk to me, an old ghoul, and to death itself. 



This year's album "Mourninghoul" is powerful, majestic, but also very mysterious and enigmatic. It's as if it's all shrouded in the black fog we all know from old burial grounds. Ghosts walk in it. I think they might like this band's new stuff too. I can sign with my own blood that absolutely everything has been done for the fans (and not only for them) of this band. SARCASM are original, they have their clearly recognizable signature. Just the first few notes and I immediately know who they are. But I'm also satisfied with the new album from a formal point of view. The very nice cover art is signed by Armaada ART. As for the sound, it is very cold, crystal painful and immediately gets under your skin (Lawrence Mackrory - mixing, mastering). I should write some criticism, but I can't think of any. It seems that we are still on the same page with the band. It's my destiny too. The most useful for me was listening very early in the morning, when the sun was still waiting for its way. I walk by the cemetery. I always had the feeling that there was an ancient monster sitting by an old tomb. Its eyes glowed in the dark and it whispered twisted words about death, pain and suffering. My imagination is working 100%. I walk with the ghoul up a high mountain, floating in the clouds, watching the ever-wandering human race. Eventually we fall into the depths, only to shatter into a thousand pieces. It's a proof for me, a confirmation that the new album has really done well. It has absolutely everything I demand from a good record. A clear direction, lots of great ideas and a captivating atmosphere full of darkness and coldness. I'm like him. I've spent years in old graveyards. I'm the shadow that flickers in the fog as he buries himself in the ground. I know the stories of all the dead. Some of them I'm bringing to the other side. I am a ghoul, a being from another world. To some a monster, to others a terrifying conscience. Majestic, powerful Nordic death metal that takes you to the other side, to the land of endless shadows! Vždycky ses rád díval. Na spící dívky v cizích domech. Nevěděly o tobě. Měl si je ve své moci. Začalo to už kdysi dávno. Tvoje matka nepatřila k nejhodnějším. Trápila tě a nenechala nikdy vyspat. Zvykl sis. Začal si žít v noci. Stával si ve stínu a sledovat spokojené životy ostatních. Kdyby jen věděli. Vždycky sis vzal něco na památku. Do své sbírky. A zůstávala po tobě pokaždé dlouhá krvavá stopa. 

Francouzští maniaci BENIGHTED jsou zpět, aby nás opět vzali na děsivý výlet do temných zákoutí lidské mysli. Pánové znovu přinášejí pořádnou porci na kost ohlodaných melodií, šílených zážitků a hudby, která každému fanouškovi extrémní muziky pronikne hluboko do mozku. Už nikdy nebudete takoví jako dřív. Během poslechu nové desky začnete hnít zaživa!


Jak asi víte, tak francouzským brutal death grind core šílencům se věnujeme u nás na stránkách dlouhodobě. Vždy se mi líbilo, jakým způsobem postupně posouvají hranice agresivity v hudbě. Viděl jsem je i několikrát na živém vystoupení a fascinovala mě neskutečná změna, jakou pánové pokaždé procházeli. Mezi lidmi vstřícní, pohodoví a milí kluci, na pódiu divoká zvířata. BENIGHTED mají dar ve vás probudit ty nejhorší démony. Vytáhnout na povrch děsivá svědectví a morbidní představy, kterých je schopen člověk. Letos se opět pohybují mezi totálně zničujícími nářezy, u kterých si budete chtít vystřelit mozek z hlavy a chladnými, temnými a krvavými pasážemi, které vás ale budou děsit úplně stejně. Jestliže jsou některé kapely přirovnávány k hororům, ve kterých stříká krev všude kolem, francouzští patologové lidských myslí na to jdou přeci jenom trošku jinak. Dostávají se pod povrch, do podvědomí. Za pomocí ostrých riffů, masakrujících bicích i jako vždy skvělého a charakteristického vokálu Juliena Truchana. Při poslechu "Ekbom" budete mít opravdu syndrom neklidných nohou. Je prostým faktem, že se mi nové album opět dostalo nejen do hlavy, když jsem vzhůru, ale i do snů. Budil jsem se uprostřed noci, jakoby někdo stál v mém pokoji a sledoval mě. Užíval jsem si surový zvuk, jednotlivé výpady, panické ataky, všechnu špínu, která zase vyplavala na povrch. Dost často jsem si také vzpomněl na jeden černobílý dokument, ve kterém patologové otevřeli mozek pacienta. Měl uvnitř parazity, hladové červy, kteří se kroutily v podivných rytmech. Nebožák ještě žil. Tak přesně takhle se cítím, když poslouchám tuhle desku. BENIGHTED mají svůj nezaměnitelný styl, který nadále zdokonalují. Výborná nahrávka! Brutální, grindová noční můra, při které vyplavou na povrch ty nejzvrácenější myšlenky! Znepokojivý, neklidný pád do propasti lidské mysli!

As you probably know, we have been covering French brutal death grind core madmen for a long time. I've always liked the way they gradually push the boundaries of aggression in music. I've seen them live a few times as well, and I was fascinated by the incredible change the gentlemen went through each time. Friendly, easy-going and nice guys amongst the people, wild animals on stage. BENIGHTED have the gift to bring out the worst demons in you. To bring to the surface the horrifying testimonies and morbid imaginings that man is capable of. This year, they again move between totally devastating blasts that will make you want to blow your brains out and cold, dark and bloody passages that will scare you just the same. If some bands are likened to horror movies with blood spraying everywhere, French human pathologists go about it a little differently. They get below the surface, into the subconscious. With the help of sharp riffs, butchering drums and Julien Truchan's great and characteristic vocals as always. Listening to "Ekbom" will really give you restless leg syndrome. It's a simple fact that the new album has once again gotten not only into my head when I'm awake, but also into my dreams. I would wake up in the middle of the night, as if someone was standing in my room watching me. I enjoyed the raw sound, the individual lunges, the panic attacks, all the dirt that surfaced again. Quite often I also remembered a black and white documentary in which pathologists opened the brain of a patient. He had parasites inside, hungry worms that wriggled in strange rhythms. The poor guy was still alive. That's exactly how I feel when I listen to this record. BENIGHTED have an unmistakable style that they continue to refine. A great record! A brutal, grinding nightmare that brings out the sickest thoughts! A disturbing, unsettling descent into the abyss of the human mind!
