Tvoje prohnilá duše už dávno opustila tělo a toulá se mezi naším a oním světem. Ztracená, ponížená, zavržená. Za svého života si napáchal až příliš zla, abys mohl dojít spočinutí. Místo toho bloudíš v nekonečných močálech nicoty a zažíváš neskutečnou bolest. Potkáváš zohavené tváře těch, kterým si ublížil. Existuje už jenom tma a krvavá mlha. INNUMERABLE FORMS jsou zde se svým třetím dlouhohrajícím albem, aby vás znovu vzali na výlet bez konce.
Staroškolský prašivý death metal se zde potkává s doomovým chladem. Obojí je namícháno ve vzájemném jedovatém poměru, způsobem, kterému můžete věřit. Do kostí se vám vkrade chlad a mraky se zase jednou budou při poslechu dotýkat země. Nové album má v sobě pradávnou sílu, touhu ničit, drásat, pálit a mrazit zároveň. Vaše duše nikdy nenajde klid!
Temní gentlemani z Bostonu ctí bezezbytku všechna základní pravidla smrtícího kovu. A dělají to s elegancí a zkušenostmi starých mistrů. Jejich nepopiratelný talent se promítl do skladeb jako děsivé vzpomínky na veškerá utrpení, kterých je člověk jako druh schopen. Tohle je hudba, která nejvíce vynikne v plesnivých kobkách, na pohřebištích, v márnicích a v nekonečných chodbách podsvětí. Vše je zabarvené do tisíce odstínů šedé a černé barvy. Tma vás pohltí hned na začátku, stanete se součástí muziky. Začnete naslouchat stínům a užívat si jednotlivé pasáže i perfektní, masivní a velmi dobře čitelný zvuk (Arthur Rizk - mixing, mastering, producer). Všechny pochmurné nálady jsou umocněny i zajímavými texty a motivem na obalu, pod kterým je podepsána Katie Müller. Pokud bychom potom měli hudbu INNUMERABLE FORMS k někomu přirovnat, tak věřte tomu, že je stejné odrůdy jako tvorba WINTER, CIANIDE, HOODED MENACE, CANDLEMASS, INCANTATION, RIPPIKOULU, případně je doplněn jasný odér CELTIC FROST. Samozřejmě, kapela se snaží (a nutno dodat, že se jí to daří na výbornou) i o vlastní invenci a nápady. Těch naleznete na "Pain Effulgence" velké množství. Za mě osobně se letos jedná o další z velmi uvěřitelných, opravdových, reálných a autentických rituálů, u kterých shnijete zaživa. Old-school scabby death metal meets doom-laden coldness. Both are mixed in a poisonous ratio, in a way you can trust. The cold will creep into your bones and the clouds will once again touch the ground as you listen. The new album has an ancient power, a desire to destroy, tear, burn, and freeze at the same time. The dark gentlemen from Boston honor all the basic rules of death metal to the letter. And they do so with the elegance and experience of old masters. Their undeniable talent is reflected in songs that are terrifying reminders of all the suffering that humans are capable of. This is music that stands out most in moldy dungeons, graveyards, morgues, and the endless corridors of the underworld. Everything is tinged with a thousand shades of gray and black. The darkness engulfs you right from the start, and you become part of the music. You begin to listen to the shadows and enjoy the individual passages and the perfect, massive, and very clear sound (Arthur Rizk - mixing, mastering, producer). All the gloomy moods are enhanced by interesting lyrics and the cover art, signed by Katie Müller. If we were to compare INNUMERABLE FORMS' music to anyone, believe me, it is of the same variety as the work of WINTER, CIANIDE, HOODED MENACE, CANDLEMASS, INCANTATION, RIPPIKOULU, or perhaps with a clear hint of CELTIC FROST. Of course, the band also strives for (and, it must be said, succeeds brilliantly at) its own inventiveness and ideas. You will find plenty of those on "Pain Effulgence". For me personally, this is another of this year's very credible, genuine, realistic, and authentic rituals in which you will rot alive.
