Ticho temného lesa. Jeho majestátnost. Stoleté stromy, které pamatují mnohé. Symboly vyryté do kamenů našimi předky. Někdy se mi to stává. Probouzím se uprostřed noci a nevím, co byl děsivý sen a co krutá realita. Jakoby mě volaly síly, které nejsou z tohoto světa. Obleču se a jdu ven. Moje kroky směřují do tmy. Kráčím pomalu, užívám si rytmus i melodie nové nahrávky švédských RUNEMAGICK. Kývám na pozdrav stínům, ztrácím se v chladu a mlze. Stále hledám, jako my všichni, kořeny našich předků.
Pravdou je, že mám pro hudbu Nicklase Rudolfssona velkou slabost. Pokaždé, když vyjde nové album, tak mám pocit, že mi mluví z duše, že hovoříme stejným jazykem, že jsme stejné krve. Líbí se mi kombinace doom metalu i deathu, ale hlavně meditativní přesah hudby. Potřebuji vždy klid, naprosté ticho a nebo černý les s jeho tajemnou atmosférou. V těchto chvílích vyniknou nové skladby nejvíce.
Nicklas Rudolfsson nadále rozvíjí své myšlenky a nápady. Vydává se cestou starých šamanů a druidů, prochází se po dávno opuštěných pohřebištích, oživuje pradávné rituály života a smrti. Každý víkend dávám sbohem městu a ztrácím se na lesních pěšinách. RUNEMAGICK bývají mými velmi dobrými průvodci. Samota duše i těla, vše je ohlodané na kost, syrové, chladné, nekonečně temné. V jednotlivých motivech je zvláštní neklid. Je jasné, že album nebude pro každého, ale tak tomu bývá vždy. Někomu budou vadit příliš dlouhé, opakující se pasáže, jenže přátelé, tohle už není jen hudba, to je mrazivá mantra, která mě pokaždé přenese do jiných světů a dimenzí. V mé hlavě nejdříve létají myšlenky jako zběsilé, aby se nakonec zklidnily a došly spočinutí. Možná něco podobného zažívají kněží nebo mniši na svých cestách za poznáním. Na hudbě jsem vždy miloval její sílu, tlak, energii a jako starý pes oceňují hlavně uvěřitelnost, opravdovost, ryzost a naprostou autenticitu. Tohle všechno tenhle švédský mág umí na výbornou. Vše vždy bylo, je a bude o předaných emocích a já mohu opět s klidem napsat, že je "After Chaos: Nocturnal Vigil" výborné po všech stránkách. Je velmi dobře napsané a složené, má v sobě něco přitažlivého, odlišného, originálního. Dívali jste se někdy fascinovaně na hladinu horského jezera? Leželi jste v trávě a sledovali oblaka? Báli jste se stínů, když jste spali uprostřed divočiny? Naslouchali jste zvukům přírody? Pak určitě víte, o čem píšu. Ticho temného lesa. Jeho majestátnost. Stoleté stromy, které pamatují mnohé. Symboly vyryté do kamenů našimi předky. Někdy se mi to stává. Probouzím se uprostřed noci a nevím, co byl děsivý sen a co krutá realita. Už musím zase jít. Věčnost mě volá. Temná a chladná doom death metalová, runová magie! Pradávné obřady jdoucí až ke krvavým kořenům našich předků! Symboly znovu zářící do tmy!

I wake up in the middle of the night and can’t tell what was a terrifying dream and what was cruel reality. It’s as if forces not of this world are calling to me. I get dressed and go outside. My footsteps lead into the darkness. I walk slowly, savoring the rhythm and melody of the new album by the Swedish band RUNEMAGICK. I nod in greeting to the shadows, losing myself in the cold and fog. I’m still searching, like all of us, for the roots of our ancestors.
The truth is, I have a soft spot for Nicklas Rudolphsson’s music. Every time a new album comes out, I feel like he’s speaking from my soul, that we speak the same language, that we’re of the same blood. I like the combination of doom metal and death metal, but above all, the meditative quality of the music. I always need peace, complete silence, or a dark forest with its mysterious atmosphere. That’s when the new songs really shine.
Nicklas Rudolfsson continues to develop his thoughts and ideas. He follows in the footsteps of the ancient shamans and druids, wanders through long-abandoned burial grounds, and revives ancient rituals of life and death. Every weekend, I bid farewell to the city and lose myself on forest trails. RUNEMAGICK tend to be my very good guides. The solitude of soul and body everything is stripped to the bone, raw, cold, and infinitely dark. There’s a strange restlessness in the individual tracks. It’s clear that this album won’t be for everyone, but that’s always the case. Some may be bothered by the overly long, repetitive passages, but my friends, this is no longer just music it’s a chilling mantra that transports me to other worlds and dimensions every time. At first, thoughts race through my head like mad, only to eventually calm down and find rest. Perhaps priests or monks experience something similar on their journeys of discovery. What I’ve always loved about music is its power, intensity, and energy, and as an old hand, I especially appreciate believability, sincerity, purity, and absolute authenticity. This Swedish magician excels at all of these. It has always been, is, and will always be about the emotions conveyed, and I can once again say with confidence that "After Chaos: Nocturnal Vigil" is excellent in every respect. It is very well written and composed; there is something captivating, unique, and original about it. Have you ever gazed in fascination at the surface of a mountain lake? Have you ever lain in the grass and watched the clouds? Have you ever been afraid of shadows while sleeping in the middle of the wilderness? Have you ever listened to the sounds of nature? Then you surely know what I’m writing about. The silence of the dark forest. Its majesty. Centuries-old trees that have witnessed so much. Symbols carved into stones by our ancestors. Sometimes it happens to me. I wake up in the middle of the night and don’t know what was a terrifying dream and what was cruel reality. I must go again. Eternity calls me. Dark and cold doom death metal, runic magic! Ancient rituals tracing back to the bloody roots of our ancestors! Symbols shining once more into the darkness!
